By far..... A better representation of your value to the team.
What I really want to know, however, is can one go negative here....? |

You're either in an active corp and frequently run in squads which dramatically raises your chance to win since matchmaking doesn't exist in dust right now (also allowing less talented players to piggy back off of strong KDR players); or you run solo, and it's primarily a flip of the coin to who redlines who first.

My stats are way higher than yours and they don't really mean much on a game bleeding out week by week. |

Getting tossed into lopsided matches & matches that are half or more over makes win/loss ratio less meaningful than kdr. |

Personally I favor the metric Net ISK earned.
It's a metric you have some control of, and gives players who don't normally do as well a great feeling of accomplishment if we measure ourselves by this standard.
For example I can die literally a dozen times, and still earn ISK for a match, and feel fairly good that in those twelve deaths, I cost somebody a suit that would nearly wipe out their Net ISK for this match. |

Why does your k/d ratio matter if you lose? Really, I want to see your logic there. Because to me it is a selfish stat when compared to w/l. |

I didn't say kdr matters. I just said w/l ratio is less meaningful than kdr. When teams are getting stacked with full corp squads against a bunch of randoms or people are getting thrown into matches that are about to end what value does w/l ratio have? If my w/l was 1000 / 50 but all those wins were from me getting put on a stacked team against randoms or me getting put on the winning team of a match that's almost over and my loses were the opposite what value does that w/l ratio have? |

Shame your win loss ratio can be spoiled by joining a game to not even have enough time to spawn before it comes up defeat. |

Really, did you coordinate with your team to capture objectives? Did you concentrate on just killing and not dying? It was not tactical to just slay if all the letters are red. |

Its a matchmaking issue. In no way does that make w/l meaningless or even less telling than k/d ratio, as far as a meaningful stat. When did you lose the match but gain the district because your k/d ratio was so leet? |

Win/Loss does not mean anything and hasnt since CoD MW lol. If you run with friends or corp fulltime you will have a far better W/L ratio than someone who runs solo. I will say it KDR > W/L anyday. I cant help if I go 30-2 doing work and my crappy team looses. Just like I cant help if we lose when im afk in the mcc. |

We didn't start this conversation talking about individual wins or loses. This conversation is about the w/l ratio which is based on all the matches you've played. So a matchmaking issue that stacks teams and puts people in matches that are about to end does indeed make w/l meaningless. |
