This is pretty much proof of how bad this game is right now. Player count will keep dropping and pretty soon I'll only be seeing people around here who only played Dust for a month or two. |

Before I would see a lot of decent players post frequently on the forums, now I only see very few of them here. Some of the new guys actually do ok in games but I don't recognize them much. |

2. I've been here since E3 build, as in I know most of Dust's playerbase.

Honestly? Because of summer.
Even us pasty nerds know how to get outside and enjoy the weather a couple times a year. Eve Offline charts show a very slow decline, but if you check the Tranquility server history, even EVE experiences a seasonal dip when the Northern Hemisphere is in summer. (See Aussies? I'm aware you exist.) |

...but in EVE all SP is gained passively so anybody could go do something else during their free time. Dust having active SP should have kept some of the players here but atm there's new games out and FF14 beta. |

Have patience, the coding team for Dust is smaller than the Eve coding team and due to many recent issues with connectivity and other things I am sure they have their hands full. CCP has stated that they are trying to have monthly updates but when this large of a project is on the go I wouldn't be surprised if updates took 2 to 3 months time to hit the main server. Better to test and be sure of a fix or the mechanics of a new item than to put it in and have a broken game for the next X number of months. |

I'm still in an NPC corp because I don't have any incentive to join a PC corp. The squad mechanic allows me to play with my RL friends without bothering with a PC corp. I've been here since DUST started beta, and I still don't see the incentive for PC corps for people with my mentality.

Actually, it's pretty likely. If you've been on the forums for a few months, you start to recognize everyone's name on the forums and in game. Like, I'm willing to bet a good chunk of regular forum posters know I'm a tanker bc of the huge amount of tank posts I make. You end up knowing everyone bc there's not that many players, anyway. |
