Is no new players left in Dust 514, only bitter vets and Diehard Fanboys, is to later for "Player Retention", what we need now is "Player Base Retention". More content with faster delivery. |

As a director of a corp that openly recruits, I see lots of new players applying and sticking around. As a closed beta player who's spent plenty of time on the forums over the last year, I see less and less of the older players in matches or on the forums. But that's just my own experience - please do divulge where you've been seeing all the new players leaving.
Try the Battle Academy and talk me how many battles you can join. And as for corps recruiting people, is just vets with different alts. I don't need CCP metrics to work this one out. |

4000 in a month?, well that is optimistic. Lets see what happens after the 1.2 update, that may end up been the last nail in the coffin. |

We know they're new to the game because they ask for help and advice and they tell us they're new. There's no reason they'd lie about it because we aren't in PC and there's no advantage to be gotten by sneaking an alt into the corp pretending to be new.
"There's no reason they'd lie"

Okay, please tell me why someone would pretend to be new when applying to join my corp? We have nothing to steal, no matches they could throw and no alliance they could try to tamper with.
Just saying, people gets bore with the same routine day in and day out, so is not surprising to have people starting a new alt, and pretending to be someone else, a bit like "re-playing" the game. It happens in almost every game, but in Dust 514 is worst, because all the Metagaming BS. |
