PC isn't very much fun because it lags worse than Cawadoodie, the mechanics are glitched, and the only reason my corp doesn't do it is because its more of a chore than its worth.

This is a way for me to show my support and help report bugs/make suggestions. Common interest with friends. There are a few things that I think DUST does better then other games. I have fun.

Why is it worth your time? honestly I play because I want to have the SP for the PRO DSes, racial DSes, LAAs, pilot drop suit etc (I`m an all out pilot) but this statement kind of supports what your saying... not much worth to me in this game atm.

Dust has gta v, battlefield 4, CoD, the list of games that can draw people away from dust is endless. There's no variety or depth to dust. nothing but broken promises and a 15 year grind for skills that mean almost nothing. Dust will die. Also, you need to realize that one day there WILL be an eve clone, and if the hameplay is any good, it will squash eve like a bug.

If it has a single server (which is only possible in eve because of the low player count, and even that's pushing it), a working economy (all they'd need to do is make it so you lose equipment somehow and allow other players to build them and set their own price), and minimal rules (which only exists in eve to minimize the work for GMs), a continuous stream of major updates (probably more often than twice a year, and there will be more in them than what Eve gets) and superior gameplay (which it most certainly will), there will be no point in playing EVE. It seems like you have some sort of ridiculous idea that EvE is invincible, which is just not true. Whether its another game, CCPs incompetence, or some deranged hacker, EvE will eventually die. Accept that.

Real answer, I can find myself a good time just by taking things in stride. Play in bursts, disregard SP caps. Have fun in the moment. Try and maintain a slither of hope for the future. Reckon that having two completely opposite playstyles available has helped for me. Forge Gun for a long-range AV focus, circumventing the infantry fight for the most part. Positioning, reading the flow of the field with sedate consideration. Deliberate and slow. If there's not many vehicles just have a bit of fun practicin' the old FG sniping. On the other side it's MLT Min Scout or STD Min M-Frame. Both with MLT Shotguns and Enhanced Catalysts. Fast, frantic, furious. Need to close distance, make covert approaches, stay accurate and be ready to run like hell if the situation's been misread. A good rush. In certain terrain you can be a real menace when running with a squad, being able to rapidly dive into the enemy's midst from their flank as the battle is joined does wonders.

At this point I play a couple of days to reach my bonus SP cap, then let it set until the next rollover. To bring that style to an FPS was the only thing I bought the PS3 for. I was about to put it in carbonite till dropship bugs were fixed, and 'lo and behold, they are now magnificent. I think tanks should be able to lift their turrets higher or at least their support gunners because I can basically hover above any 'single' tank and nuke it. Forge gunners are a ** to dropships though, so I'm liking the rock, paper, scissors aspect the games developing. The problem is that skill points don't always allow you to change to one type effectively, but that's our incentive to keep... 'training'. I love Battlefield, and Call of Duty, but honestly, once you unlock all the stuff, you can't wait for the next one. Dust will be an eternal development. I would have loved to have seen the economic chaos it would have brought to Planetary Conquest if markets merged with Eve, exploits or not. It's the community that drives Eve and Dust and we have come up with some weird **. It's hopefully going to happen one day, and that will bring in betting, espionage, and manufacturing.. And mine... Er, 'harvesting'. Is it all too good to be true though? Basically, I am surprised it's as good as it is, so I don't mind putting abit of support cash to help CCP (except when Aussies are paying 50% extra with the same currency value). So is it all false promise or the beginning of another beautiful journey, who knows, but they've got us by the balls, so keep 'training'. Ps. Don't merge markets if it messes up dropships
