This **** shouldn't even be in the game, far less as strong as it is now. It baffles me the amount of people that complained about it in closed beta YET CCP brought them back??!!! Really?
Just shows that CCP listened to nothing in the closed beta. Uprising was a perfect example of that. Chromosome, people had some complaints, but the game was fun. Uprising? A **** storm of complaints from day one. But hey, let's add in scrub nades, and gaylock pistols. GG
The flylocks are fun to use, but they are OP. The splash dmg is almost the same as direct dmg... how the hell is that balanced?
Also they use next to nothing PG / CPU wise... people basically have a better Mass Driver for a fraction of the cost... lol |

this basically. splash as a whole has to be lowered significantly.
theres no incentive to have good aim.

Have either of you ever even try to hit a target with any Flaylock. It is VERY difficult. Moving and non moving targets. |

I still like the old idea of having to switch to grenades instead of having a button for them |

this is a good idea. grenades should have to be equipped.

L2 swaps between nades and equipment and R2 swaps between weapons. This way you don't have to use the wheel. |

I would accept this concept as soon as CCP removes all hitscan weapons, and slows the projective speed of all ARs to that of a MD, or Flaylock.
Hitscan weapons, like the AR, are the easiest weapons to use in the game. Period. The only weapon outright easier to kill with than the AR is the HMG. |

totally agree with this. imo all weapons should operate like the AR, think about it guys. this engine sux its horrible at physics, hit detection and it wont even attempt destructible environments. A car going 5 mph can kill you and a fall from 2 feet can badly injure you if ur in the air long enough. why are they even attempting weapons with splash, arc and other advanced stuff when they cant even get point and shoot right?
even if all projectiles have no travel time it will be a better improvement over what we have now. Dust needs to have the most basic fps system because the engine is so bad. the problem is they are trying to add all these complex mechanics and the engine cant handle it.

I use them and agree they are a cheap mechanic. I get killed by them enough to justify me carrying them. That being said, they should do about half as much damage and half as much blast radius. |
