OK CCP, you got me hooked on your products. I play Dust, I subscribed to EVE, I have read Templar I, and I love the back story with a passion. I am in a PC Alliance, I do it all. But what about those who are just starting out, who are just not good enough or rich enough for PC? What about basically everyone else? Well here are my ideas...
Idea 1: Militias Just like in EVE, there should be a Militia you can join. Have a little advertisement, maybe even a video too, on why YOU should enlist with the Minmatar/Gallente/Caldari/Amarr. You can enlist as a single person or your whole corp or even your whole Alliance. Say if you enlist your corp with the Caldari, that means you can't fight for Gallente... but you get special perks. As you and/or your corp get better, you should start getting discounts on that Factions stuff. So if you fight for Caldari, that Sica starts to become less pricey. Down the line, you could cut the cost of a Sica from 251,000 (I don't remember how much it costs off hand) to maybe 220,000. Also, Loyalty Points! As you get better and better and do better to aid your faction, you can accrue Loyalty Points. These points can be spent on stuff like a, for example, Blue Caldari Assault Suite with orange trimming for say 100 LPs for 50 Suits, or whatever ratio works, I'm just making it up. Then, have another variant with perhaps an extra Hi Slot or damage bonus that's blue with orange trimming. This way, non PC Corps can make a name for themselves and get rewarded in a different way than the PC Corps, to make a name for themselves, have a reason to fight, make enemies. Make the wars between the Factions better. Say a corp called "Amarrian Godsends" makes a name for themselves, as does a Minmatar corp called "Bringers of Freedom". Well they don't like each other, and you have two powerful non PC corps calling people and recruits to their aid. They could get EVE guys in on it to hunt down the other factions players to damage them. There could be a Militia chat, and a leaderboard to show who is helping their Faction the most. Summary: -Discounts -Militias -Loyalty Points -Function for non PC Corps to REALLY get involved with the EVE link -Create Drama, conflict, loyalties, and more -Faction Militia Advertisements to get new guys inspired!
Idea 2: Contract offerings Well maybe not everyone cares about who they fight for, they just want to fight! And part of being a mercenary is selling your services to the highest bidder.... well that is kind of empty right now isn't it, that aspect? Selling your guns and assets? Well I am sure that will come in the future, but here is one way to do it.... Contract offerings, upfront. Ok maybe a corp called "Infinity Soldiers Inc." starts to get good, really good. They become a known force within the community, but aren't in PC yet and are just a lone Corp playing the game. Well if they are so good, shouldn't they be rewarded for it? So as a squad is getting ready for battle, a contract pops up "Caldari attacking Gallente", and a notification or something pops up saying "100,000 ISK Upfront" for the Caldari, and "120,000 ISK Upfront" for the Gallente. They take the Gallente contract, and end up winning, but before even deploying, each member of the squad gets 120,000 ISK in their wallet, along with whatever they walk away with after the battle. This corp I made up, Infinity Soldiers, is wanted for their services, and get bonuses for their skill. Maybe even some LPs, but since they are not in a militia it's not as much. How a much ISK is offered can be determined by War Points, or War Points and KDR, or Kills, or some combination, I don't know which, but maybe to balance it, the only war points counted are ones from Merc Battles, not instant battles. Maybe if they were REALLY good, stuff they use for that faction is getting paid for them, either partially or fully. So maybe their Amarr Scrambler Rifles are paid for them. Even more, bonuses and such can be given out for corps that manage to beat these really good Merc Battle Corps, so not only are they wanted for their services, but they are also despised for them. Heck, a contract from the Guristas or the Serpentis can be put out to beat these corps in a match! This could be an outlet for Pirate or other none Empire faction gear!
I really really really think the game could use something like this. CCP, please consider it. Think of the drama and profits this could create! You can really put the Merceneary in... well Mercenary with stuff like this! This could give non PC Corps the power and experience they need to rough up some of us PC guys! And players, give it a like or a critique, but don't say the game couldn't use this! I humbly request you consider my idea, do it for the new guys, the non PC Corps, for the Meta Game, for EVE!

+100 This is such a good idea! Then my wannabe tankering will be less expensive until the OM hits, which then you could buy things from your militia, unlocking more gear as you gain loyalty points |

I like this idea. I know we definitely need something else going on to keep people playing the game and this would help strengthen the eve dust bond. Right now their is not much besides orbitals in PC matches to bring eve and dust together and if you don't have eve players you can still call in orbitals kinda lame. We need something like this +! |

As to the upfront payment, I'd suggest making sure it can't be gamed by having people join, then drop out and still get that huge payment, or if they do, have it negatively impact the corps "standing"
As to determine how good a corp is, I would suggest letting corps have the ability to send out full squads for "contract battles" that keep track of your corps performance. Make it a corp role that limits who can enter with a squad (of any corp mates) and have your success in these type of battles increase (or decrease) your corps rating within this system. This way corps aren't pushed away from letting newer or less able players joining their corp, since their poor performance won't negatively impact this system.
Ultimately though this contract system would still just be a temporary measure until actual EVE / DUST corps can pay you to carry out meaningful contracts for them, such as attacking enemy positions, defending their own, etc etc. |

Would like LP system however I would restrict it too the factions LP store that the corp fights form. Don't let people just access all of the factions different gear without actually fighting for them. I would also suggest that if a player selects his corp of FW he cannot then join the opposing faction nor that opposing factions ally.
Unless they reassign themselves for FW to the different faction. |

Unless they reassign themselves for FW to the different faction. Yeah that makes lots of sense, like not being able to access the other LP store if you switch factions. Also the non militia guys would get very little LPs so it wouldn't be ridiculous for them either
