:D Fun times! Team True Grit should be hanging around the thread to answer questions. |

Parson Atreides wrote:Is this a complete list of 1.2 features from TrueGrit or can we expect more (like a reason to play Faction Warfare, for example)?
This is a complete list for Uprising 1.2 from Team True Grit. Other teams have things they worked on coming as well, but nothing relating to factional warfare.
Edit: Not counting defect fixes. :) |

Parson Atreides wrote:Can you explain a little more about what exactly "Monitor Starmap Security" does in relation to Dust? Right now security status doesn't really affect us, as far as I know.
Is this going to be relevant when PvE comes out?
For planetary conquest it determines a few things. Can you conquer planets in that system? Is the system included in the calculation for attrition and cost for moving clones? |

Gridlock is an EVE team, I think Veritas is back on it. I will pass your hugs along though! :P |

DeeJay One wrote:Do the delayed chat channels have any effect on game performance? If so some metrics for that point of the blog would be great ;)
They should improve performance, we don't have any graphs to show you because it is really hard for us to simulate real world usage. So anything we show would not really be accurate to what you can expect to experience. Possibly once we ship this we can dig some stuff up, not sure. |

Absolute Idiom II wrote:Any indication on corporation tax? Or has that decision not been made yet?
No promise on when, but we are actively working on it and hope to have it out later this summer. :D |

It's better than the current situation, but even with more corporate roles, this is a must have ability for something as important to dusties as territory control. Well they did that more or less by design. They still want the ability for a well placed spy, or Awoxer to really mess things up, but now they will have to work slightly harder for it. They'll have to show that they can be trusted enough to get into the battle, and only reveal their true colors once they are in. Before anybody could preempt the main team entering the battle, people everyone knew where up to no good, and there was nothing you could do about it. CCP wants the ability for good spies to keep spying, and sneaky Awoxers to still be able to sabotage a match, they just want to make sure they have to actually put some real long term effort into their backstabbing.

Everything is directed at PC players who actually have the 10 million SP needed to compete. Devs do realize that people quit this game months before they ever get to 5 million right? Like quit in the first week of play.
This is just the stuff from Team True Grit. There are other teams working on lots of different things. Uprising 1.2 was also a really short development cycle. |

So we should expect work from the other teams for 1.2? Even if they are small updates? (Short and sweet updates are better than no updates :D )
Yes. |
