Actually proto suits aren't impossible to kill.
I've killed a number of proto Logi suits (Caldari ones even), and probably other
less easily identifiable high level suits with my relatively cheap fit
(Amarr Assault A-1, Standard Scram, 2 Militia Dmg Mods, Nanite Injector, Militia Armor Rep, Grenades)
using just my Scrambler. It takes quite a few more shots to bring them down, but even at full hp, if you can get
the drop on them, or get in a few good head shots (especially a charged head shot) then you can take them down.

You use a gek while your trolling protos? Real men use std bpo AR. My favorite is the recruit bpo it's almost militia grade.

I don't see how you figure that? It has 12 less rounds in the clip. That cuts you dpc significantly, an important thing when going proto hunting. The extra .7 damage is nice though, but not enough to make up for the short clip.

To be honest, most of us who run proto gear in pub matches never even flinch if we get shot down. It doesn't matter. We are sitting on millions of ISK. We may have lost a lot according to your wallet, but to ours it's a just a drop in the ocean.

One kill is nothing. Getting top spot on the leader board with malitia fits against proto gear would be something. Good luck.

I have hundreds of millions of ISK myself but I think I'll just keep chipping away at yours. No skin off my back. I regularly place #1 on the leaderboards in std gear, and am usually in the top four or so.
