There is no justification for people who complain about getting run over. Whatever happen to that old school teaching of look both ways before crossing the street? |

Why not grab the car and flip to the side, or over it? Hell, even under it. Grab the hood and lift your legs, you've got POWER ARMOR. Hell, heavies should be able to hold back an LAV if it's only just starting to accelerate.
That sounds like fun. Still allow LAVs to run you over but make it fun for you to counter it.
At least I agree on one thing here. LAVs shouldn't be able to kill you while just beginning to accelerate. It makes no sense that I die to a massive object traveling at under 2 MPH. |

This is just complete idiocy. Sound bugs, RADAR bugs, and the sheer number of mongoloid lav drivers are justification enough. Not to mention the ridiculous EHP that LLAVs currently have. Regardless, the LAV problem is just another example of how Dust is such a poor shooter. When it's more efficient to run people over than it is to shoot them, your game is trash.
It's still a valid tactic. Just like sniping from the MCC, or tank sniping from the hills, it's still a valid tactic. Wouldn't you run over your enemy if he just so happen to be standing in front of you? |

I never said that a bunch of blueberries are standing still except for the ones that sit around and do absolutely nothing but AFK in the MCC. Some tactics I don't like, but in the context of New Eden, any tactic is a valid tactic no matter how lame it is. I don't see too many folks complaining about me bring a knife to a gunfight so why should I complain about folks bringing a murder taxi to the same fight? Be glad that dropships are no longer literally living up to their name.
In Eve Online, there was a player that took down a Megathron with just an Iteron V all by himself and no one complained about that. Plenty of people complained about mining ships bring mercilessly ganked, but everyone else didn't mind it because we all know that anything goes in New Eden. |

EVE is a sandbox, Dust in it's current state, is not. And btw, mining barges and exhumers received a buff, just saying. Explain to me how dropship and tank spam needed to be eliminated, but LAV spam is valid?
Lol @ buffed mining ships
I still see them getting ganked and destroyed on a daily basis. The buff stopped no one and the goons kept on burning Jita.
As for the second part, I didn't say they needed to be eliminated. Considering how whiney you are about LAVs running people over, I felt now was the time to bring up the fact that you would be rage quitting if tank spamming and dropship derping weren't changed. I didn't mind getting crushed to be honest. I guess I'm a masochist.
By the way, you're talking to a dedicated Eve player who gets a kick out of seeing pure mayhem. |

I didn't mind getting crushed to be honest. I guess I'm a masochist. By the way, you're talking to a dedicated Eve player who gets a kick out of seeing pure mayhem. Bringing up glaring faults in Dust's gameplay is not whining. I guarantee you Dust would have a population numbered in the dozens if Dropship and tank spam hadn't been removed. And you're not a masochist, you're not a "hardcore" EVE player, you're an idiot. You know full well that the tank and dropship spam detracted heavily from what little gun game existed during the BETA. In a supposedly "AAA" shooter, running people over should not be more efficient that actually shooting. If you like getting constantly run over or squished then by all means do so, but don't try and act like Murdertaxi improves the chances of Dust's survivability. BTW, I'm also an EVE player, and the reason you still see mining ships on EVE-kill is because greedy AFK miners fit CPU rigs so they can cram more laser yield upgrades in the lows instead of a DCII and shield rigs. And no one cares about Goons killing AFK autopiloting haulers except hisec publords and the Goons themselves. But please continue to regale me with your EVE experience that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
Awe. You look cute with your "idiot" comments. |
