Killing mercs on MCC,adding friendly fire, or any other MCC/ Red Zone penalties will not make people stop AFKing, you seem to think the redline and MCC are the problem here, when really people AFK everywhere, even on Ambush maps simply by hiding in some corner. (Since most of the fighting ends up oin one area anyways, no one bothers to look for "strays.") The MCC/ Redline isn't the problem, and most "solutions" people keep thinking of would just inconvenience active players more than it would AFKers. If you have to bother active players to merely give a small inconvenience to AFKers, its not worth the hassle. The idea of only giving the extra passive Skill points when outside of the Red Zone has only a slight impact on normal players. If a team gets red lined, then they should be switching to Drop Uplink fits and trying to sneak out of the red zone, rather than just giving up.
AFKers may be a problem everywhere, but at least outside the Red zone there is a chance the enemy will find them and kill them. Then if they donGÇÖt spawn again they will be kicked from the match. |

as long as someone is on the ground there is a way of killing them even if its friendlies pushing them out of cover in a lav etc and then leave the rest upto enemy snipers.

Enable redline friendly fire, 5 team kills in x time = boot (just like MAG did it). depending on the map i am helping. im keeping them off a,d,e so you can worry about keeping the terminals inside the cities. i afk a lot buy if i get on a map where i can chip in a bit, i do. |

+1 to making this game more fun. Even for those of us to fight to grind, its still just a grind. Same maps, same poeple, same goal. The only thing that matters is ISK and for what? We cant do anything with it other than buy suits. PC is over and done with as its lost its luster and means nothing other than gaining what? More ISK.

All the spawn rooms have one-way door shields so that as soon as you lose a base, all the people spawn inside, go sniper, and just shoot out the windows until the capture is complete. |

As long as its not to quick because the MCC is my quick spawn orbital safe zone, if i was downed and earned a orbital, which happens often and my squad always ask me to drop it when im dead, then complain i was to slow. |

Saying a team " should just "x" when getting red-lined is easier said than done, plus even if successful in sneaking out, still doesn't mean they won't get pushed right back soon after.
Also again, the Red-Zone is not the problem, people think that's only where they AFK because that's where you see most, plenty often there's AFKers in the middle of the field, posing as snipers, going to rooftops in some Militia Dropship or just hiding in some place people rarely go to, you'd be surprised the amount of places one can hide at.
Besides, you realize AFKers getting killed does more harm to the team than to them, right? The team would be losing clones a lot faster, while the AFKers are more than likely in militia fits, so they don't lose anything.

Its not like spawning is something complicated, and they probably have the game on the background while they do something else nearby, so all you're preventing is people leaving the AFK char unchecked, and that's just MAYBE, depends on the map.
And again, even if slightly, you're still inconveniencing actual players more for something that would barely affect AFKers.

Thumbs up. This is probably the most realistic and simplest fix. Ahhh, but the gas would be so funny, or knowing that some heavy would be willing to be the team killing MCC punisher for the rest of the match to keep everyone moving.
This is how it used to be before, current shooting in-out of MCC is more than likely a glitch, will probably be back to that next update.

Now you're just making it worse for new players, and rewarding Proto-stomping. All you're doing is encouraging new players to AFK while dropping Uplinks and Nanohives...or just not ant to play.
Again, people you have to think of how it would affect all classes and all players, newbies and vets alike.
Also, I think someone suggested a timer on the red-zone that would kick/ kill players if they stayed too long? So when they push back a team to the red-zone, then what, kick players that can't get out in time or are trying to push back the reds? May as well not even try then and leave the match, which if it happens mid-late match is going to discourage a lot of people, as that means they're forfeiting any potential rewards they could have gotten, plus making anything lost during the match lost in vain. |

The idea of the shield blocking fire both ways is a start. After that, need a mechanic to get people out of the MCC so they can't just sit there. Perhaps the auto deploy after so many seconds in the MCC would be a step in the right direction.
I often will spawn there for the express purpose of seeing if I can scope out what is going on if we're having trouble with an objective. If, while checking things out I get a clear shot on someone, I'll try to take it....doesn't mean I'm sitting up there the whole time. I'll even be chatting on the mic, telling people what I see and some one spawns and comes up behind me and starts shooting/slashing at me. (as a side note, would be nice if we could easily see the name of who is currently broadcasting with a mic. Wouldn't need to be a full breakout of the squad/team or anything. It could be a small window of text or something, kind of like the kill reporting. If it already exists, forgive me...I haven't noticed it yet, probably because so few people actually use their mics, unfortunately)
All I'm saying is, there needs to be some middle ground here. Not everyone is just sitting up there, taking up space on the team and leeching SP/ISK 24/7. |

in a supposedly tactical shooter, i've always wondered where the FF is at, it makes for less of a **** fest in game
All game modes should have a FF version as well as the normal, why have it for pc only when half of us dont play pc
Auto kick, or vote to kick would cool, it worked for socom
Also while were at it, a no respawn objective type game mode would be sweet aswell

I thought this was supposed to be an objective oriented, team-based shooter? You should be using coordination more if we have 100% FF from all sources in all modes.

1. Matchmaking (because even and close matches are fun matches)
2. Custom Matchmaking (because when you can invite and play with whoever you want, matches are fun matches)
