CCP will do it if/when they feel like it.
They could just take you money and end the Dust 514 service and take it to PC.

God we are so entitled.
It's not like other f2p FPS mmos do what the OP is saying for. CCP just really know how to run a game community, ima right? |

They also cannot update every day as desired so things have to be deployed a chunk at a time due to sony requirements. This is one requirement they cannot circumvent and also they cannot alleviate even if they go to another platform as PS4 likely still requires it, and as long as dust 514 is on a console platform going to pc is not going to fix this issue either because you cannot have two separate clients with features on one missing on the other.
There is also internal testing that has to happen, things get real screwy if you deploy them without seeing what they do to the field.
But PS2 is going to be on PS4 and it gets a 6 month roadmap at all times, so what the hell is CCPs excuse? |

CCP just really know how to run a game community, ima right? 75% of that road map was trashed in favor for MLG design.
Ok, 1st of all, no. Those are all still being planned.... it's not july/agust/September yet... What you are talking about is how many of those features were panned for 3-9 months ago, but were pushed back due to MLG. However, no one got super mad, they were happy that the company was being transparent about what was going on.
You are trying to argue that because they didn't do every single feature they allowed for community feedback on, they shouldn't of told the community their plans AT ALL. When the whole dust cmmunity is raging to get told whats ging on, even if features get canned or delays. Becuase we want to see whats happening, and we want to give some *****ING FEEDBACK before they shove it into the game without testing it.
Also the 25% of features that did make it in made it in based on what the players voted highest on the list. People were like, yeah, ok, you can take away and delay 75% of the content you planned on and gave us dates, just hey, thanks for letting us have a say on what 25% got to stay in.
You're a joke and I look forward to crushing you at reelection.
the Scout LAV was released with no requests, no timeline, no preview, no feedback. AND IT SUCKS. dust is digging it's own grave vote me for me, vote for a shovel.
WOW, a CPM member basically saying "Transparency is bad"
You make me sick.
Seriously, not even a day of beta testing for Planetary conquest? I MEAN REALLY?
PS2 didn't just trash the plan without telling the community. I love when CCP chooses to cancel content the day before launch with zero headups. Oh yeah, I love being treated that way. |

Ok then, that can be your campaign slogan.
Mine on the other hand is going to be
Trying to sell you what dust will be in 2 months, today.
Because 2 months od roadmaps is not unreasonable. AT ALL. In fact by staying to nothing they promise, CCP has most likely thrown away like 70% of the work they have done. What a waste. And to think this year their new corporate slogan is "focus"
FOCUS, Riiiiiiiight. The only way they can't give us a 2 month roadmap would be because they don't even know what they will be working on in a month. It shows us they have no plan and don't want any player feedback.
If the next july update comes out without a single step to get playerfeed back on the features and changes before patch day, people are going to leave this game in droves. Not because it's bad, but because there is no investment in the customer base. |

Maybe the dust community needs to realize that they aren't on the inside any more. They are not beta testers and they aren't going to have the same relationship with CCP that they used to. I don't intend any insult... but things have moved past that stage now (whether or not you or I think it should have). This is CCP's baby, not ours, let go of it.
1st off we got 6 months of black out during beta that ended with a release that we had no idea about. So yeah, NO **** THAT.
2nd, PS2, guildwars2, WoW, Starcraft2, Eve online, all keep their customers in the loop after beta. with advanced warning 1-2 months in advanced in order to take in player feedback.
And finally, you sound like someone with an abusive relationship.

Even Sim City keeps it's playerbase more in the loop than CCP does. |

The butthurt is strong in this one. Yeah that's the point. Good job , now try keeping up. unlike most people I've been here for 9 years I'm not going anywhere until everyone else leaves. I'll spend every last moment trying to make dust a game people will continue to play.
What's your plan.
You sound just like people who were saying "Oh people shouldn't be mad that incarna is a single Minmatar room in every racial station, people are sooooo butt hurt"
Releases patches with ZERO HEADS UP, should hurt your butt too. If your butt doesn't hurt, go visit a doctor. |

Actually, like any other form of art and entertainment, once it's released it becomes the public's baby. Sure CCP pioneered the idea and made it happen, but we are the blood that keeps it this baby alive. CCP are now the maintenance men and window washers, there to keep things polished and working nicely. Nobody likes dead babies.
If anything normally a BETA has less player input because development can change directions in a moment. Once it's released player feedback and communication increase....

So yeah, I have come to expect CCP to touch base with it's customers in order to improve the game and get player feedback before a feature is release.
In fact, you can even play the new Eve Online expansion on the test server over 1-2 months before an expansion hits.
You SHOULD care. |

Cosgar wrote:Seeing EVE's dev blogs just shows how much effort is going into this game right now..
Not just right now, they have mountains of dev blogs right after release in 2003!. The game was very rough and they wanted to make people keep playing despite the current state of the game by pulling more people into the communication. Didn't even have a CSM/CPM back then!
Eve is real, I was there. |

How do you make this game fun? Iv plated since closed beta and i was never able to get into the "I cant wait to play this game at the end of the day" cycle.
I still stalk the forums from time to time to see whats going on. As I said befor, what makes this game fun for you?
Id like to know so I could try it too.
Honest answer. I don't have a lot of things I can pull out of a hat. There is the usual host of things that people want... improved game play mechanics, content, maps, etc. However, two things that probably won't sound like much that I can also suggest: [list] When fixing balance issues Release them in a blog 1st to get feedback, change the numbers before release based on feedback like every mmo ever so you don't surprise the community and make them feel like you don't give a ****.
