I've only seen the core flaylock do any major dmg when compared to the other weapons. The blast radius on the standards are too small to use as a reliable weapon. I only use the standards because I think its fun but know I'd be better off with a standard smg. |

Conceptually I really like the Flaylock, pistol. I mean it is kind of the Warhammer 40,000 Bolt Pistol, lobbing little rockets at people, but it just doesn't make a lot of sense. In a game where you have to score (virtually) a direct hit with a vehicle-mounted missile launcher, you have people forgoing the use of the weapon they should be using and just trying to gun people down with their pistol. Contrary to how that might seem from movies and video games where you might think, "he's so skilled!" they are doing it here because they really only need to get marginally close with the pistol, you know, within a few feet. I would have to agree that its current iteration is just not working so well. |

Same deal goes with the Scrambler Rifle and Scrambler Pistol. Pistol>Rifle.

Shoots rapidly fast. I'd say as fast as a HMG if you can tap it fast enough. direct hit gets splash and direct dmg for about 500+ dmg. It's OP as hell definitely the best gun in the game today. |

Core Flaylock with level 5 Pro and Ops: 275.8 damage with 246.7 splash damage over 2.5 meters.
Mass Driver with level 5 Pro and Ops: 306.1 damage with 146.7 splash damage over 4.1 meters.
Proto missile launcher (small) with 15% damage bonus from skills: 523.3 damage with 261.6 splash damage over 2 meters
Proto missile launcher (large) with 15% damage bonus from skills: 583.1 damage with 119.6 splash damage over 3 meters
Anybody else notice some oddities here? Such as the mass driver getting more splash radius and more damage than large missile turrets? Or perhaps the flaylock having more splash radius than the small missile launcher while only dealing 20 less damage? |

I think you have quantified what a lot of us have been feeling. The other observation worth mentioning is that the burst damage from the other weapons listed (or in this class) is that most of them are doing no more than 50% splash damage, some, like you pointed out, more down there in the 20% range. |

There is something wrong with it, though. I was not exaggerating when I said it has the fastest TTK on armor suits of any weapon in the game, besides a direct Forge Gun hit. On a sidearm...
The Scrambler Pistol isn't better than the rifle. Sure it can be beastly if you string together a couple headshots, but in almost 6 months of playing, that's happened to me exactly once. |
