I thought the decision was up to the individual developer on if you need PS+ to play online? That basically means unless you want to play anything made by EA or Capcom, you're fine. |

In truth if you get 2 free games every month....and alot of those games have multiplayer as well. I dont mind this too much. It was sad to see but the only alternative would be to not game on a console......so |

Also, it should enable them to support online games better. Servers are not free to run. I think its a good deal. The free games they give out should have a larger community also because more people will have plus and more people will be downloading them. Who knows, I am not bothered by 5 dollars a month. I have had plus for awhile and have gotten more then I have spent in free games I have enjoyed. |

Sony doesn't care because the majority of console gamers don't care. They might lose some customers, but the net gain of PS+ subscriptions is going to be huge. PC isn't really a viable argument either, because again, the majority of console gamers don't care about PC. And XBone is worse because they require XBL gold for things like Netflix.
And if anyone is concerned in regards to Dust, then I don't think they should be. CCP constantly likes to tout how Dust is free, with free updates, and will always be free. With that i mind, i can't see them optioning to have Dust require PS+.
Just for the record, I don't care about needing PS+ for multiplayer. |

I dont mind im not happy at the change but I will have to live with it, something i did see was that some games will not need ps+ but almost all will but they said DCUO and another FP2 game will not require PS+ (can't link been watching to many E3 thing to remember them all) |

You sound like someone who is ignorant of all of the benefits that you get from the PS+ over something like LIVE.
Mainly, you get tons of free games and massive discounts on the PSN store. Sure most of the games and discounts are for indie games, you still get at least 1 full game worth $60 retail for free every month, that you get to keep as long as you have a valid PS+ subscription, so you pay 5 dollars a month and get way more in return. |
