hey forum this is my first post if thats relevant, i need advice from tankers on my fit, i spent about 1 mill sp on it and im still pretty new to tanking, Tank: Madrugar (armor tanks ftw)
Turrets: 80GJ scatter blaster 2x 20GJ scatter blaster
High mods: Crisis damage control Wavelength active scanner
Low mods: N-type vehicular hardner Heavy IG-L polarized armor regenerator 180MM reinforced nanofibre plates Voltaic energized plating Powergrid Expansion unit 1
im thinking of investing points in vehicle engineering so i can buy better powergrid mods because i only have 18 pg left on my tank but something tells me thats the wrong thing to invest in, can some veterans help me out? |

I'm working on getting the best pg mod. It is better to have that one than two of the lesser ones which I usually end up having to run for turret mods.
I always try to fit one 180mm (polycrystaline? I keep forgetting the name) plating. Otherwise, I've fitted a 120mm and a 60mm. Then I try to keep two reppers.
I have been using a heavy repper and a light repper that seems to be working well.
I stopped using the passive resist mods. Stick with the active hardeners if not using a second light repper. I throw a passive resist in there if that is all that will fit and I'm trying to run a heavy defense tank rather than an offense with turret mods. I go for the active hardener third after the plating and dual reps.
Also, I usually try to run a mobile CRU for my close quarter blaster tank. You usually get free small turret assist when you have guys spawning out of your tank. |

Swap the passive hardner for another acctive hardner and swap the crisis dammage controll for an acctive heat sync or nitro. Defo get to engineering 4 for the local powerupgrades. Then your pretty much set. Happy hunting. |

I personally feel that the heat sink is more potent on TANK vs TANK. This is where the heat sink would be a deciding factor. Also.... Rail. That heat sink has helped my butt, a few times, here and there.
He does need PG upgrades to 15% and passive hardeners. The name of the game is EHP.
If he did get better turrets, I personally would then recommend the heat sink.

Using the highest meta versions that you can fit of the standard LG repper, 180mm plate, 2 active hardeners, and PG boost is what i suggest as far as tanking setup goes.
The Hi-slots are where you have room to tailor your tank to you and your mission. I'm a big fan of damage control and active heat sink.
The damage control helps give a little extra buffer, to your shields as well if they are still up, and is a good filler if your active hardeners are on CD.
The active heat sink means more shooting, less waiting for cooldown, which is a handy way to increase DPS without sacrificing tank.
Active Scanners are nice in CQC tanks for figuring out threats, I personally haven't used them, but have heard they are worth it.
A mobile CRU I would generally stay away from unless I'm in a PC or other well coordinated team. Often times, when a random blueberry hops in a turret, they do nothing but make loud noises, ruin any chance of surprise, and never hop out, thereby clogging the CRU after the first two hop in. In theory though, a well coordinated team that uses the tank more as a mobile CRU than a spawn in gunner seat would be quite well off, particularly for a domination match.

yea i swapped my damage control for a heat sink and i was able to take out a proto tank head to head (he was using missles though) but after i started using active scanners i got hooked and i always take them |

Switch out your crisis damage control mod for an active heat sink and this will be a pretty good fit, once you get all the best versions of these modules. Also, switch out your 20gj scattered's for regular blasters due to the price difference. When you upgrade your cannon, switch out the voltaic plating for another pg expansion. |

When you upgrade your cannon, switch out the voltaic plating for another pg expansion. thanks for the advice, but i plan to replace the voltaic plating with a 60mm plate because of the extra ehp ill get. i thought the regular blaster is good on its own? |
