ok first things first that needs to be mentioned is that the new AA tank coming out and DSes won`t be updated to gain WP to keep them from bankruptcy makes this a dumb idea to bring in soon but I`m going with CCP couldn`t mention everything and don`t hate pilots as much as it seems so now to the topic.
can we get a small and large missile turret variant that locks on, details:
small missile turrets takes 2 seconds of in target lock box to get a lock on, after that you can release and the missile will fire 2 rockets and allow you to lock on again as soon as fire hits so its slower then other variants RoF in its class.
STD = 180 DD, 100 SD, 2.0 BR RoF 2.0, lock on type. ADV = 260 DD, 130 SD, 2.0 BR RoF 2.0, lock on type. PRO = 320 DD, 150 SD, 2.0 BR RoF 2.0, lock on type.
so if its an A2A and lets say between to Pythons and the victim has 4480 HP and the attacker has a PRO lock on missile turret it will take 7 100% successful shots (since its an A2A it should be to hard to get successful shots innless the runner is farther away) so 14 seconds if the pilot has perfect timing lets put human errors in and say 17 seconds to shoot down with a PRO small missile turret. that's pretty good, sometimes its faster to use a cycled but this gives options. also the turret is lock on only so it can`t be used for infantry.
large missile variant:
takes 3 seconds to lock on but fires 4 rockets.
STD = 200 DD, 140 SD, 2.0 BR RoF 2.0, lock on type. ADV = 300 DD, 190 SD, 2.0 BR RoF 2.0, lock on type. PRO = 400 DD, 230 SD, 2.0 BR RoF 2.0, lock on type.
so with the best of the best you would do 1,200 every 3-4 seconds, so lets make an example with the same victim: with perfect shots with some human error it will take 5200 damage in 14 seconds, of course now though the DS will have an easier time getting away from this due to structures and can get out of range if the pilot reacts in time.
now lest compare:
L missile turret (PRO) would do 5,200 in 14 seconds ish (added a 0.5 to every lock on due to human reaction speed) and to get as close tot hat damage as possible the small missile turret (PRO) would do 5,120 in 20 seconds, a little less damage with a 6 second difference (did the same human error time delay). and if we were to keep counting up till we get he exact same amount of damage do able in a replicated time of 140 seconds the l missile turret (PRO) would do 52,000 while the small (PRO) missile turret would do 35,840 damage (difference of 16,160 damage). so all things considered its not that the smaller turret is worth more then the larger turret, also if you wish to compare swarm launchers to the depicted small missile turrets remember that small turrets are s good as heavy weapons and swarms are light weapons.
this is just a suggestion for down the road when there are fighter jets and stuff innless we are getting PRO DSes... then they wouldn`t need a delay as much. |

Varients are suppose to go so high in damage upgrades unless they a LOT of damage. |

this was more for the large missile turrets but I added a small variant since its a must and because I thought it would be cool for LAAs. I mentione you can do at times better with a XT Cycled missile launcher somewhere so tis not aiming capability's. |

Tell that to the swarm launcher users lol
Can these lock on missiles target infantry?
Can they also fire invisable and also turn 180deg instantly and also go around corners? |

Still think the militarys of new eden should drop thier WW2 rocket launchers and duct tape Swarm launcers to the weapon mounts.

they can`t target infantry (either your mistaken with the Plasma cannon or you were that n lucky blue berry that stepped in front of a tank and took the swarm for him... thank you in that case he would appreciate it lol).
also yea how they turn and at times flip and go full speed in the other direction is a pain. |

Swarm launchers suck compared to turrets, blasters, and launchers.
Whens the last time you saw swarmers dominating vehicles and installations more than the other way around?
i've NEVER seen it.
Swarmers are weak and slow.

RAAAA.
this is a video game that depicts war and people play to enjoy so balance is important, plus the military doesn't like having something "OP" since they need to counter it some how. |

I remember blam mentioning some kind of lock on turret in the works a couple of months ago, from what he said I assumed it's main intended use was air to air combat, though it wouldn't be too hard to imagine an air to ground variant. |
