Banned From Forums Shining Flame Amarr Empire 116	Posted - 2013.06.11 13:54:00 - [1] - Quote Yes I said it. With PS4 coming in November 11 2013 it will mark the end of Dust 514 (for now). I see these game going dead because there are a whole lot of games coming out for the PS4 which are eons ahead of Dust. Games like Destiny, Titan Fall, Watch Dogs and Killzone 4 show a lot of promise. These are companies that have a good core mechanics of a FPS and are already ported to use the new features of PS4. Dust has a long way to go with its core FPS mechanics before it even touches the surface with any of these games. I have always liked the idea and concept of Dust but sadly this game will die. All it will be left with is the fanbois and CRONOS that can probably start fighting when all other corps have moved to these games. If any of you are planning on hitting any of these games holler up and lets meet there. PS: Dust to Dust!

Maybe then you will actually be able to hold some of the districts you capture. Good games are good games regardless of setup. Dust is garbage.

I walk among these leaders and know how frustrated they are. Kain, Mavado, Laz, Mitachui... They are all concerned about the direction or lack there of this game. I know Kain is especially frustrated because he has put so much effort into this game to help it gain audience but CCP ****** this game over. Laz I know is pulling his hair out with the lag this game is offering and the proposed recommendations for "fixing" it even after 1.5 years in the making. Mavado is concerned because he is not getting much good fights and most of his peeps are bored. Mitachui has invested so much time and money on this game and yet this game still has to deliver. You are looking at a lot of frustrated alliance leaders right now.

Gets tiring playing with others online on DUST all the time. Sometimes a good offline story is all you really need to refresh your gaming self.

You also do not speak for anyone but yourself. I don't care who your main is, your contacts, your pedistal, or whatever make-beleive influence you think you may have. I'm at work right now so I can't check the numbers online midday on Tuesday, but on a monday night I saw 6.8k players online. Whether or not they afk in the mcc, idle while fapping, or just talk to buddies, these people see reason enough to log on. Your omnipotence means nothing. I've spent over $200 since Mordu's Private Trials, and I'll continue to support this game even though I'm burnt out on it right now. You say that this game will fail becaus a few alliance leaders are bored right now. Let them leave so newer alliances can work their way in. By the time we get content worth investing significant time into, those that left out of fear for the future will be left behind the people that saw the potential early on. Also, PS4 has been confirmed several times. I'll let you do the searchong because I'm tired of linking it.

As for whether or not this will spell the end of DUST514, that is still to be seen and that is really up to the DEV team to pull their collective shite together in order to produce the ACTUAL product that they advertised. Understanding that as a game is developed, the art department should be involved, but as previous posts have shown (check the devblogs on DUST514.com) to refer back to the art department for the final thumbs up on level design, if not other aspects of the game, seems troubling. The thing that is currently disappointing about DUST is the grind, the LACK of PvE, and the complete LACK of even the basic spread between the races/factions before everyone goes swinging around the NERF-HAMMER. I have been on this game since closed beta, almost 14 months now. That is by far the longest I have lasted with any game, let alone a FPS. COD, BF, and all of those other games rarely last with me a couple of months.

Actually, if you took the time to read the post I mentioned, I was complaining about the lack of interesting content. Having been playing for over a year is an accomishment as far as I'm concerned, but we're not here to talk about me. So, yes, despite the fact that I have more fun watching the paint dry on growing grass (or playing PS2) than actually playing Dust, I am a CCP fanboi, and will wear that title with pride.
