I know people who couldn't pay that just for online. Think of parents paying for their kids, what if a parent has 5+ kids and each wants to play online? That's $5 for each kid. I have a friend with 8 siblings (so a total of 9 kids), the only reason he got a PS3 was because the online was free. Make PSN multiplayer cost money and this is what you get if you want to play multiplayer:
- PS4
+Nicer playerbase than Xbox +Better hardware than Xbox and Wii/Wii U +Exclusives (Killzone, Infamous, ect) -Subscription fee
- Xbox One
+Exclusives (Halo, ect) -Rude playerbase -Frequently breaks(I'm assuming the Xbox One will continue the tradition of having issues with the Red Ring of Death) -Subscription fee -Possible to have your account or ENTIRE CONSOLE PERMANENTLY BANNED -Xbox Kinect 2.0 (or whatever it's called) "iiiiiii seeeeeee uuuuuuuuu" *insert cliched evil laughter* -Just learnt a little while ago that you don't get to pick your Gamerag when you make an account, you get assigned one, then you can pay money to change it (not sure if legit, or friend was just trolling >_>)
- Wii & Wii U
+online is free +Exclusives (Metroid, Legend of Zelda, ect) -......It's a Wii/Wii U, need I say more? Metroid was the only reason I got a Wii, I did like Twilight Princess though
- PC
+Online is free (Steam) +All those exclusive! All these PORTS!! +Mods +It's a computer, just having a good one is sort of a plus in and of itself +You can constantly upgrade it, making it have better performance -Very expensive to get a good gaming rig (I've been told it's cheap if you build it yourself, but I've never really looked into it) -Must use KBM (unless you get a controller for it, but I've only ever seen Xbox controllers rigged for PC use, never a DS3)
And I've seen the games that you get free/discounted, either I already own them or I don't want them and I'm pretty sure it's going to continue being that way. Besides, you only have so much space on the Hard Drive, I doubt you'll be able to actually use all those games unless you buy a larger HDD to go inside, + a bunch of external drives. Otherwise you'll quickly find yourself having to delete those games to make room for the newer ones. |
