I am really tired of explaining to others that CCP does not endorse corporations or players with offensive names.
Please implement the offensive language filter.
I understand we are all having fun here but including a language filter will go a long wayand avoid the headache of a report player system. |

It makes me roll my eyes mostly and think of the people as idiots. However, I think openly racist/homophobic/profanity-laden names for corps/people will turn off a certain segment of new players. Big deal, HTFU perhaps? I don't know. I'm not sure if down the road I want the Dust community's reputation to be "that game with the racist ****-joke people".
Edit: Ironic that there is a filter here I guess. |

I don't think we need to implement this as there is a special place in the filter for people who cross ccp so bad they wind up on the list like ************* and ****** *****. |

I agree very much ! Starting to see some very offensive things. From what I understand this was also a problem on the last playstation first shooter game. Hope it wont be one here. |

not that offended by silly names, but trust me don't under estimate the cruelty of some people. I have played first person shooters on Xbox and you wont believe the foulness of words and even insulting racial drawing popping up. If left unchecked for too long it can destroy the experience of the game. |

Just the playstation shooters? try everywhere its almost normal to some degree of profanity. from the 13-18 demograph. |

You are aware you can simply choose to ignore it, profanity or Player made symbols dont impact game play in any way so i don't see how it would effect the experience in anyway. In games like Dust that will require high degrees of organization to run corps, i don't see those who are immature enough to label all their tags with profanity as being organized enough to hold districts. |
