Maybe because ppl using the LLAV are skilled into vehicles
18mil SP into vehicles, 1.8mil into LLAV, 60% resistances on LLAV, running over idiots who think SL will do anything priceless
Maybe i would logi more if it got WP
So overall you know nothing about vehicles, you want armor to be stronger than shield tanks, you want to nerf vehicles more, you dont want proto vehicles because they would be too strong and you think AV is fine |

Armor tanks can get taken out with 3-4 proto AV grenades, my Gunnlogi can get taken out by 4 shots from the proto assault forge gun.
Want to know the difference? AV grenades have range maybe up to 20m, while forge guns have range up to 300m. Also, blasters are most effective at taking out infantry. Missiles do crap splash damage and railguns are just worse for close range against infantry. You can avoid going through an alley filled with AV grenadiers, but you cannot avoid forge gunners as easily.
Both armor and shield tanks can get taken out by proto AV ridiculously fast, such that it is soloable. Advanced AV is still very painful.
But an armor tank will win any tank battle the majority of the time.
Also, Caldari HAVs are meant to be kings of AV while Gallente HAVs are meant to be kings of AI. Just look at their damn weapon systems: railguns and missiles for long ranged bombardment while blasters are for short ranged precision. Instead, we get Gallente HAVs that are kings of AI and AV and Caldari HAVs that are kings at being fireworks shows. |

This is probably the best set of changes for anti-vehicle and tanks I've seen recently. While I could quibble over the smaller details, you've got my support. The shield changes are my favourite (the current active shield mods make me cry). |

My buddy and I hit a charybdis with 3 proxy mines, 3 AV grenades and an advanced swarm and it didn't even scratch the paint. You must have got lucky with a really squishy one.
As for this entire thread, it's getting a little sickening to hear GÇ£tankersGÇ¥ cry about AV. I've started running tanks myself, and with just one good infantry support plus some spacial awareness you can come out on top. I use a Soma. I have barely any SP invested into tanks and I manage to do okay. |

Uh, I never said anything about proto HAVs. LAVs already have proto, given that they more than match tanks on damage resistance. And I'm pointing out that shield tanks are stronger than armor tanks in specific situations. It's a bit like saying a heavy is better than an assault soldier in specific situations. You lot are the ones wanting to take the shield tank and turn it into something stronger than an armor tank, all because in this one situation, you get your asses handed to you. Oh boohoo, the scout with the shotgun just murdered me and ran away too fast for my teammates to kill him! Give assault class a speed boost!
And skilled into vehicles or not, running people over works just as well for brand new blueberries as it does for anyone with serious SP. It doesn't take SP, it doesn't take actual skill. It's an OP issue. I honestly wouldn't have a problem with the vehicles remaining as they are, as long as impact damage is reduced. |

My point exactly. The other guy crying about needing snipers for swarm launchers? Yeah, I've protected a tanker from multiple swarm launchers and I don't have a single sniper loadout. It requires coordination and a willingness to stay with your tanker. I've also watched a Sica survive nearly a whole Domination match just because the guy driving it stayed behind and with infantry. They finally took him out with a precision strike (because their swarms weren't hitting enough and the AV guys couldn't get close). |

My teammate and I hit an armor tank with 8 volleys of swarms and watched it roll away. 4 adv 4 pro. 44 missiles. Tanks don't need buffed |

LLAV are not proto
They have higher resistances than tanks because they are supposed to be in the thick of it when repping stuff like tanks or infantry they just happen to also be damn good and running over idiots
Shield tank should be just as good as the armor tank, the armor tank beats shields in almost every situation
Milita LAV are the main problem due to the HP buff it recieveed because CCP took away skills from vehicle tree and gave them to everyone so milita LAVs can survive more, if vehicle tree got the skills back and the HP buff was removed of all vehicles then the milita LAV would be crap and it would stop ppl murder taxi |
