Pretty self explanatory. A pitch and yaw indicator for DS is a must. I used to think DS was broken and unflyable bit I have spent the last week on an alt in the academy and have begun to get really good with them. The biggest issue is knowing my attitudes without an indicator and this is a pain in the CCP Soxfour I know bits been brought up but no better way to get what you want then crying loudly until you get what you want. |

Why did no one support this? An artificial horizon is an international requirement for all aircraft because of how invaluable it is. This should definitely be part of the improvements to vehicle HUDs that CCP Blam! has mentioned before. +1 |

I agree.
A rearview mirror would be nice too. |

I could get behind this. The cockpit view is horrible by the way... there's probably some improvements that could be made there. I just don't even know where to start. |

we do need some more instruments to be planted on the sides of the screens for altimiter, pitch/yaw, and knowing exactly what is going on
a lock on warning WOULD be nice, so you know when to get the hell out of dodge too |

i havent either, since most ariel ships have a nice, wide, panoramic set up so they can actually look around without having to point the nose somewhere. we must have our flight instruments, and a broader veiw and ability to look around when flying in first person view.
would be nice to actually fly my ship in FP, so i can get that full immersion... i love dropships....apparantly CCP loves to nerf what i love, and what a small group loves |

+1, This would be an invaluable tool for us dropship pilots.
Side note: Does anybody know how much the critical damage bonus is in the back of the dropship? I was flying a dropship a few days ago that had about 5k eHP and got one shotted from a hit from the rear. Had to be a railgun but even with some damage mods thats still like 250% damage bonus.... |

Just like modern* aircraft today where your pitch and roll indicators are rather than off to the side (shout out here to the heat up/charging indicators for certain weapons being off to the side is fairly annoying )
*the ones with a HUD, otherwise those instruments are not in your forward line of sight |

what the HUD should do is easily indicate a few things. 1: The hud needs to indicate roll and pitch (deep right?) 2: It needs to indicate thrust direction and %. By this I mean it needs to tell you which direction you are drifting in and at what speed. I can't tell you how many times Ihave thought I was holding the girl steady only to bump off of a turret installation near the objective. 3: Better sights on the assault ships forward gun. A simple cross hair ala the AR's type, its so easy to lose that lil blue dot in the soup. 4: Altitude, I know this one is a bit of an iffy one, after all if you are in third person you should be able to judge but again I've tried to land to pick guys up only to be told on comm's I'm too high. 5: All of the above in both third person and cockpit view. |
