so, when does everyone think Eve will be fully integrated? after all, isn't that what this game is supposed to be about? Eve corps supplying US, funding US, and us working for THEM? their ISK, our blood, sweat, and tears?
1) next build- november (if updated every 6 months) 2) next year- 1 year anniversary? 3) longer
the reason i ask is because, again, this is what the game was SUPPOSED to be about. not dust corps ruling the eve universe. does anything we do at the moment even effect eve? we don't even have eve OBs anymore. also, with eve supplying the isk, smaller corps can participate in PC because they won't need to raise their own isk. TBH, i don't care about new game modes, weapons, graphics, or anything else besides this. fix the bugs and integrate eve. work on the other stuff later.
my personal believe is #2, with fingers crossed hope it's #1. if it's #3, dust is going to have problems remaining relevant. |

i think... can't find the post, and i'm too lazy to look hard, ccp says a "major" patch every 6 months... could be 3 though. 6 would put us at november (may-november). 3 would put us at august (may-august).
i'm willing to run to november. hell, i'm probably sticking with dust until the end given my limited time to play games anymore . considering my wife and i are expecting our second child in january , my gaming will probably be even more limited after that . such is life.
but i really think if ccp wants this game to succeed, they need to integrate eve by november. both sides, eve an dust, will be in an uproar otherwise. |

the whole economy thing is what i don't understand. ccp developed both games. their whole intent was to link the games. why in the world would they set up the exchange rate so poorly? i don't play eve. i'm not going to act like i know what's going on there. i know ships are in the millions to (billions?) of isk, and that's about it. ccp should have made it like a normal economy. with "real" cost perspectives from the start.
as an example... a US Nimitz class aircraft carrier costs about $4 billion. a typical AR15 costs about $1200-2500. if ccp would have just made eve ships (and isk and resource acquisitions) better tied into a realistic economic structure, the dust-eve economy would be just fine. i don't know what a titan costs, but it should be $100B, even $1T (bare minimum $50B). from what i hear, ISK is fairly easy to come by in eve, so this shouldn't be too hard to swallow.
tbh, i think the dust economy is pretty realistic. for instance, an abrams tank costs about $3million... and fully loaded advanced dust tank costs about $2.5M, and i know when proto tanks come back it will be more expensive. suits and weapons seem pretty good now too since this last market adjustment.
(i know it's ISK but the $ sign is easier to type ).
i like this game. i don't want to see it die. i do however want to see the game that was hyped so much. i know it still a work in progress, but throw us a bone here. please make some kind of link by the end of november. |
By the end of November we'll have EVE-to-Dust ISK transfers with a tax penalty. That was mentioned during the FanFest stream and in a few posts by Devs on these forums.
I'd search for them but I somehow suck at the Search function. Can't ever find anything.
boy, i hope you are right. i tried searching too, but i can't find anything . it would make the most sense though. after all, we all tested the hell out of PC. aside from major lag and a few other bugs, it seems to work ok. well, the concept works that is . i'd rather be fighting with other peoples' money anyway. after all, mercs get paid to fight, not the other way around. |
