so, when does everyone think Eve will be fully integrated? after all, isn't that what this game is supposed to be about? Eve corps supplying US, funding US, and us working for THEM? their ISK, our blood, sweat, and tears?
1) next build- november (if updated every 6 months) 2) next year- 1 year anniversary? 3) longer
the reason i ask is because, again, this is what the game was SUPPOSED to be about. not dust corps ruling the eve universe. does anything we do at the moment even effect eve? we don't even have eve OBs anymore. also, with eve supplying the isk, smaller corps can participate in PC because they won't need to raise their own isk. TBH, i don't care about new game modes, weapons, graphics, or anything else besides this. fix the bugs and integrate eve. work on the other stuff later.
my personal believe is #2, with fingers crossed hope it's #1. if it's #3, dust is going to have problems remaining relevant. |

Sorry, but never.
ISK is never a limiting factor in EVE.
If there is full integration then AUR packs and micro transactions are dead in the water as ISK floods DUST regardless of any transfer penalty put in place. Problem is CCP needs every cent it can get at this stage.
The only thing CCP would then have as an option would be P2W AUR items which isn't popular.
Another flawed game design feature.

Not really, it all depends on price.
Last time I checked, a PLEX ran about 500,000,000 ISK. Now a PLEX runs about 15 dollars from CCP. There are plenty of EVE accounts that are run entirely free, especially if it is a secondary account. If you can safely spend 500 million a month, you can play EVE for free. CCP doesn't 'lose' money on you because someone else had to buy a PLEX.
Say that Boosters end up being sold for 300,000,000 ISK. The Boosters still only enter the game with AUR, they just enter the market on ISK. Just because I sent myself 1.5 billion and got enough boosters for 2 months doesn't matter to CCP: someone still bought the Boosters with real cash.

Im really hoping for an update in a month or two that will fully intergrate Dust with EVE but If it's really gonna be 6 months or a year then f*** it. I'm not wasting my time playing the same s*** over and over again. I'll give Dust until the end of this month then I'll just go to another game.

i think... can't find the post, and i'm too lazy to look hard, ccp says a "major" patch every 6 months... could be 3 though. 6 would put us at november (may-november). 3 would put us at august (may-august).
i'm willing to run to november. hell, i'm probably sticking with dust until the end given my limited time to play games anymore . considering my wife and i are expecting our second child in january , my gaming will probably be even more limited after that . such is life.
but i really think if ccp wants this game to succeed, they need to integrate eve by november. both sides, eve an dust, will be in an uproar otherwise. |

There won't be an uproar, because those of us who matter understand that this is a very delicate procedure that has to be done slowly and carefully.
Under no circumstances should Dust be allowed to pose a risk to EVE's economy. CCP feels the same way, and that's why they're content to take it slow, and we should be too. |

the whole economy thing is what i don't understand. ccp developed both games. their whole intent was to link the games. why in the world would they set up the exchange rate so poorly? i don't play eve. i'm not going to act like i know what's going on there. i know ships are in the millions to (billions?) of isk, and that's about it. ccp should have made it like a normal economy. with "real" cost perspectives from the start.
as an example... a US Nimitz class aircraft carrier costs about $4 billion. a typical AR15 costs about $1200-2500. if ccp would have just made eve ships (and isk and resource acquisitions) better tied into a realistic economic structure, the dust-eve economy would be just fine. i don't know what a titan costs, but it should be $100B, even $1T (bare minimum $50B). from what i hear, ISK is fairly easy to come by in eve, so this shouldn't be too hard to swallow.
tbh, i think the dust economy is pretty realistic. for instance, an abrams tank costs about $3million... and fully loaded advanced dust tank costs about $2.5M, and i know when proto tanks come back it will be more expensive. suits and weapons seem pretty good now too since this last market adjustment.
(i know it's ISK but the $ sign is easier to type ).
i like this game. i don't want to see it die. i do however want to see the game that was hyped so much. i know it still a work in progress, but throw us a bone here. please make some kind of link by the end of november. |

By the end of November we'll have EVE-to-Dust ISK transfers with a tax penalty. That was mentioned during the FanFest stream and in a few posts by Devs on these forums.
I'd search for them but I somehow suck at the Search function. Can't ever find anything. |

The straight answer is NEVER because EVE players don't want us in their sandbox messing up "their" game and CCP is too scared of another Jita Riot and won't risk angering their most consistent paying customers.
Look at PC the EVE rewards are awful and most EVE corps could care less.
FW is the biggest example however because its soo dependent on EVE side plexing their is hardly ever any activity on it for Dust players to get involved with.
As long as Dust players are dependent on EVE players initiating the actions Dust will never have a meaningful link to the game. We are just their sheep and thats exactly how EVE players want it and as long as that is the case this game will never have the true impact in the universe we want it to.

So you obviously don't pay attention to how many EVE industrialists are foaming at the mouth to get their hands on what is sure to be the biggest financial boom in the history of EVE.
Two factors to keep in mind:
A. CCP has pretty much confirmed that manufacture of Dust assets will be done by EVE players. Make a tally of how much ISK you burn through in a busy day in Dust. Bonus points for factoring in PC. Now multiply that by 10,000, and then factor in increasing player counts as new content is released.
B. War Barges have been confirmed to be EVE ships. Imagine how many of those will probably die and have to be replaced.
There is no better economic stimulus than a war-time economy, and EVE is set to get a massive market boost. |

boy, i hope you are right. i tried searching too, but i can't find anything . it would make the most sense though. after all, we all tested the hell out of PC. aside from major lag and a few other bugs, it seems to work ok. well, the concept works that is . i'd rather be fighting with other peoples' money anyway. after all, mercs get paid to fight, not the other way around. |
