I personally like DS3. I have no idea what people's problem is with it, but I find it just fine. It might just be that I've played with the DS3 for around 4 or so months now, and I haven't gotten used to KB/M Key Bindings. But I'm about to make the switch, once I get a Keyboard.
I'd go with DS3. It's not the controllers fault. Pretty sure CCP changed something, as I can no longer aim with a Shotgun either. Seems I always miss by a fraction... |

The lag at the current moment in HD is similiar to how BF3 used to be. There's bad input lag, and a lot of it....Also, the sensitivity is too slow for us SG users. I have people strafing faster than I can aim, my sensitivity is on max, so the limits are too low. The only way around these limits to my knowledge is to to use a special kind of mouse that can bypass the limits. I've had to play in 480p to negate the input lag, I had no choice. The second issue that just kills us is the bad frame drops/lag. I'll be moving, etc, and my character transports around, it's ridiculous. This is the only game that does this for me. COD and BF3 don't do that to me. I know shotguns, trust me, that's all I ever use. I'm number one in the world with the 870 MCS (Slugs) on BF3 for PS3 (Over 72k kills with it and counting), so you can count on my words to hold some weight. |

There is a memory leak problem causing a lot of the lag that we see in CQC. There is a supposed fix inbound, but nobody has said when exactly. I'm sitting on a pile of respec SP waiting to see if I'm going Shotgun (my fave) or HMG (20+ Ks per match, guaranteed) after the next major update.

You're not alone, brother. I miss around 50% with the DS3 on a good day. Haven't tried KB/M yet.
Ryno's dead-on RE memory leak. Latency hits CQC especially hard for some reason. Notice how time slows when dancing with an HMG? That's why we have fused nades now; to cut down on the total instances of CQC at any point in time .

Glad to know it's not just me who is missing ridiculously, I swear half my shots always end up slightly to the side of my target. |

Yeah I could swear its off.
Last build, especially with that longer range, I could get some sweet snapshot kills off with a breach.
This build I need to use a regular shotgun because its too unreliable - if one shot phases through an enemy, I'm dead with the breach.
Maybe I just suck though.
Its still pretty good with a DS3 though and I can count on it for the most part. Just play knowing it misfires sometimes and you can still do well. Still want that range back though... |
