I have decided to create this thread in the hope that other mercs will join my cause . Now a few tgings before I make my main point. This is not a QQ or save the carebear thread. This thread is aimed at creating some more epic firefights.
Now id like to point out the pros and cons of redlining the opposing team .
Prop 1 you win. 2 you display battlefield domminance for bragging rights (not me personaly) 3 I cant see any more pros
Cons 1 nobody will acctually generate any real sp .( kills hacks ect) 2 90% of the opposing team will turn to redline/mcc afking and sniping. 3 its boring. 4 its really boring
You get my point?
Now when my corp is stacking squads into faction warfair I acctivly order my mercs not to redline the enemy. If it is a 3 point objective map then my mercs are ordered to hold 2 objectives and defend. If it is a 4 map they are orderd to hold 2 give the enimy 1 and fight over the 3rd. If we are fighting on a 5 point map then they are orderd to take and defend 3 objectives giving the enimy 2 objectives. We will allways aim to maintain controll of most of the objectives but will allway give our enimy at least 1 objective .
Now we do this for severall reasons that I think are quite apparent as no one on either side has fun on a redline game.
This thread is also hear so any one who reads this and faces my stacked corp in fw knows we will not attept to red line as we acctually want a fight.
What I propose is a non redline agreenent any corp or merc who signs up agrees not to red line the enimy (pub and faction only). Plain and simple . Id like to see who eles has the balls to do this . also when stacking 10 or more mercs into fw i forbid my merks to run proto unless they are met with proto squads as running std and adv gear helps improve gun game .

This is true but even with serious match making you will still get a team of randoms against stacked squads. |

My a Corp has tried letting the enemy take every objective than try taking them all but it never works. It's way too difficult when people just keep respawning.
We have also tried letting them have a single point to avoid v redlining them. Somebody always gets greedy and hacks it or gets pissed at the constant respawning.
Best thing to do is organize competitive matches with some other Corps. This works really well if you can get somebody to actually agree to it. |

It's troublesome to balance match-making without causing draughts somewhere between the specterm of players. Perhaps with squads formed before looking for a match would match-make based on the highest SP or WP among the squad. Even still that would likely have issues as well. |

I like the spirit of your post, but if we are talking pubs, then forget it. Too few people communicating and paying attention.
What we really need is a pre-formed SQUAD only game mode. |

Im talking about pubs but its mainly geard at faction warfair. As this is really the only way to stack your squads properly. We do need the return of corp battles as with the 16 man teams it would be epic. Also it would allow smaller corps to participate in battles that matter. |

Charming idea, never going to happen.
My question is why games need to continue when one side is redlined? The battle's over, it should be recognised so everyone can get on with something more productive. Shortly after the last objective is taken the game displays a message like "MCC retreating" and a countdown begins. If no-one starts a counter-hack before the countdown ends, the battle is over. The losing team can choose to keep fighting by getting someone to an objective and starting a hack, or they can just roll with it and sit and snipe for a bit. The winning team can choose to keep the battle going by *not* taking the last objective.

Well you say itl never happen but when I stack squads it dose . As I said I acctivly order my mercs back if it looks like the enimy is about to be red li ed . Hell iv even orderd my mercs to fall back and give the enimy what they think is tge upper hand only to prolong tge fight and get some more kills in. And yes I remember that thread and many others that were similar but unfortunatly not much came of it. The main point In this thread is if you see stacked squads of me and my mercs tgen you know you are going to have a good fight/game so do t leave battle when you see10+ shadow cavalry o the opposition (hapens quite allot). And as I said if any other coro has tge balls/honor then sign on up. |

I suspect most corps know by now not to redline if they can prevent it. I thought you were calling for everyone to do this, even in pub matches. |
