I agree. The range is not the issue here. It's the hit detection. |

Makes sence cuz I'm sure I'm striking guys even when it shows I don't , an since it's a two armed slash not stab the hit box should be bigger, in reality it would be huge because the knives are held upside down an we strike like a clap or a bird flying so anything in the radius of arms length should get cut, I can't really see a miss in real life if ur standing right beside a guy an he wiggles left a foot. It's two slashes not stabs, if this was put into play there would be no need to lunge if the radius was increase to accommodate two arms slashing |

This game has long been plagued by hit detection issues. The knives are simply the most exaggerated and readily apparent example of it. Hoping for an end to all hit detection problems at this stage of the game is not very realistic. Simply increasing the range and arc width of the nova knife is likely the most simple fix ccp could implement in the mean time. There is a certain degree of "slop" in where a target is at a given moment and where it ends up being drawn on the attackers screen, due to latency and interpolation. This is why people bring up moving targets as being the major problem and stationary targets not so much.
Increasing knife range will simply counter the hit detection issues that are highly unlikely to be fixed any time soon, if ever. |
