If CCP can at least fix the hit registration issue, then at least half of the complaints about knives will die down.
The other half will be solved when cloaking modules come in. |

I can definitely see the Amarr having a sword. You know, them Amarr being a bunch of religious Catholics and all. |

You know, them Amarr being a bunch of religious Catholics and all. that's what makes me hope the Amarr will have a mace. a big glowing gold-plated mace. They released concept art of it. Can't find it atm, but the amarr knife currently looks like a dagger, rather than your usual combat knife.
I saw the image as well. It looks like something you would see a Roman Gladiator wield. |

Doesn't sound so bad. In fact, it seems balanced. Even at level 5 the most anyone would charge/dash is 2.5 seconds which to a highly skilled knifer is more than enough to close the distance.
One of the reasons I was against the sprint charge is the possibility of making the knives overpowered and thus bring about the drunk nerf hammer. But I didn't think about a limited sprint feature like you described. Sounds more like a lunge but I think it's doable and it doesn't border on "overpowered". |

I agree. The range is not the issue here. It's the hit detection. |
