I see a lot of MLT, STD and PRO, but not the ADV. I usually use STD to gain something in term of Isk and i ask myself: are the ADV dropsuits worth of their cost? |

My main suit is ADV (Logi Minnie). With fitting skills, I manage to fit a good amount of proto modules on it. |

ADV suits are cheap as hell. There is zero reason not to use them.
I only use ADV suits, logi and Assault. |

I use the ADV... I don't gain or loose ISK, but my game-play is very consistent.
ADV gear = Consistency

I pretty much exclusively run ADV suits.
Mainly Amarr Assault ATM but if they do something about the damn wheel then I'll probably go back to Amarr Logi |

I mainly use advance suites and when I feel like it a pro.
Advanced racial suites are actually very cheap and good to fit. If a battle is going wrong or I want to really make some Isk I will use my dragonfly or server suit. |

ADV Heavy w/ Proto HMG is the way to roll. Get away at about 80-90k per suit. Pretty stable setup.
I only bust out the Proto suits for PC, Squad w/ Logibros, or when I do AV.. |

I suspect a bunch of early open/closed beta vets who made lots of Isk from salvage are running Proto. However, if they are not making a profit from the battles then eventually they will run out and go back to STD and ADV suits for most battles. |

I'm in an ADV Assault [Winmatar] and I'm slowly building my way up to a full ADV suit, with modules and all that.
Hell, I just recently unlocked GEKs for the first time, and have found that much of my former rage has subsided. |

ADV is pretty much the only thing I use. I will bring Proto out if the enemy team is spamming them. I don't actually even have an STD fit and I don't really need to use free suits.
I think ADV is absolutely worth it. But I guess that if you have to make ISK STD or free is the way to go. ADV is a good middle ground, I'm not losing money but I'm not getting particularly rich either. |

I run advanced assault. Proto is too expensive. I only use proto in situation where i don't expect to die. Advanced is also skill point wise the best way to go since you can upgrade all your modules to lvl 3 for the price of going suit proto (didn't do the math).
A loadout costs about 35K. If you die 6-7 times your at 0 isk. On avarage I die 3-4 time so I make a little profit. |

till i get my respec i'm running the adv gall logi suit and its suprising how much you can fit on it thanks to the pg/cpu reduction of the equipment. Personally i think the assault suit skills really need looking into. the gallente one doesnt really benefit from either of its bonus. the shield regen is pointless and should maybe be changed to a reduction to movement penalty on armor plates, the pg/cpu reduction to weapons is also pointless, the amount you save on a duvolle is pittance compared to extra your given on the logi suit.

ADV suits are a fantastic way to make money. I'm sitting on 120 mil right now because of them.
They're not nearly as expensive as PROTO. They've usually got enough PG and CPU for a decent tank, and good Wep as long as you play the suit/class's strengths.
I find PROTO is only good for that tiny little edge that could SOMETIMES come in handy in PC. But for the most part, not worth the ISK investment.
Just get good with the basics, and you can play great matches without the expensive gear. |

the odd nose cannon kill is extremely rewarding., they also have some anti tank capability.. they're more responsive/agile.. i wouldn't say they're exactly worth it tho unless you really enjoy flying. they handle much better and can actually juke some to avoid FG. |

That sums it up... But lately, I've been playing a lot of BPO militia fits. Funny thing is, I still die and I still make kills. With near max skills, militia gear isn't bad at all. |

The ADV dropsuits are only worth the cost, when you have the skills to utilize the dropsuit to the best of its abilities, other than that you'll just be throwing large amounts of money or isk down the drain |

I get killed so often, the only positive I carry from battles is that most of my fits cost less than 5000 ISK. So, no, I don't use a lot if adv stuff. |

I like to think of the dropsuits as cars. The prototype is that classic, antique license plate cruiser you spent 5x what you paid for it restoring. You love to drive it, you love to drive it with your special someone with hopes later that night. You don't drive it for your everyday driving because fixing it costs an arm and a leg. The advanced suit is what you'd been driving for those years where your prototype was busy decorating cinder blocks. The local auto repair shop knows more about it than you do, it's last wash was when the dealer handed you the keys when you bought it and the floor looks like a garbage bin. You drive that everywhere and only care what happens to it when it renders it inoperative. |
