The problem is not whether someone is good at dodging LAVs. The problem is a crap, cheap console gamerboi game mechanic that is becoming an easy tactic for gangbangers who can't shoot. There is a reason you can't crash ships with each other in EVE.

Sorry, but as long as the LAV crashup derby feature exists this game will continue to devolve into fratboi drinking game shenanigans.

Yes, you didn't take into account that there is an LAV on the field, and you further did not take into account it's current location.

I dont being hit by the murder taxi as much as the next guy...that said, since other people use it I feel I have the green light to use it. I dont do it often, maybe once every 5 games when I get the itch.

they (ccp) cant stop it because I think it is a viable tactic, as much as we dont like it. Whenever I see one, I just try to kill it (I always carry swarm launcher / SMG).

hmmm...lets see i recall something i could share just earlier today...i got shot out of my lav and it was hacked ...they tried to run me over....this is a fully specced caldari charybdis...i bunny hop in circles around them flinging death....they even try to hop out and nab be but to no avail ..i hada a second charybdis inbound and as they try to chase me my wyka make..and mince meat of them...step up your game seriously..when you get the oportunity to dual spec do so and nab a logi bro suit and light av ...i.e swarm launcher..or better yet grab an av suit and a log lav yourself...but dont whine because grenades arnt the end all of dust. get a nano hive spam ...i mean seriously wtf lai dais can ice every vehicle in this game. if your an ar...and your getting run over a bunch by lavs then your av teammate isnt doing his or her job. someone calls a lav and trys to run over my team mates they get shut the **** down.

again this is an example of proto av dealing with proto vehicles yes they could have got me yes it was close specially after they hopped out in ar suit and heavy..if they hadnt have gotten back in the lav they wouldnt have died..:)

The trick would be to take away impact damage, and hell, even make the gunner position invulnerable to bullets, that way someone would actually have incentive to hop into it. Right now being in the gun position of an LAV is a death sentence. It's pretty ******* stupid.

Exploit = doing something that wasn't intended by the maker. You getting ran over = 100% intended by maker. Intended= NOT AN EXPLOIT

It is actually really hard to kill a prototype light assault vehicle.

LAV Jock? I am by far probably far worse pilot of an LAV than any other vehicle, I couldn't run over someone if I tried.

Yes I know. I was telling you my swarms BASE damage. Also I don't just use my SL. I have av nades too.

How many times do I have to say that I use AV nades. Fancy ones too.

Eh. LAVs are fast and light. Using AV grenades against them isn't super effective unless you are really good or the driver is really bad. Same with the forge gun to a lesser extent.

But the swarm launcher is the bane of LAV existence. Generally I find a good spot with some cover overlooking the battle. When the LAV or tank pops onto the field I just spam missiles which are SUPER easy to lock. Tanks end up retreating but generally survive. LAVs generally die unless they are well fit with a good driver. Then they just go running in terror.

Nothing OP about it other than possibly my SL. There is no LAV problem.
