The Limbus is mostly armored and AV's do more to armor, and has less shields than the charybdis.
Did you mean " Charybids Logi LAV " ?
basically the Limbus is a logi LAV that has shields on it therefore making it a shielded logi lav + armored logi lav.

I'm dedicated AV. If you have a problem dodging a LAV (which is really easy to do) then you have serious problems. (Unless your a heavy in which case dont walk across streets w/o looking)
Also if you only run AV then you shouldnt have a problem. |

Ok are people seriously complaining because people in logi LAVs that take quite a bit of SP and ISK to train into, buy, and then fit properly aren't getting hammered as bad as militia LAV's. (Which can easily be dominated in the starter AV setup)
If Logi LAV being properly driven were easy to take down with a bunch of scrubs (like myself) using militia AV, nobody would drive them.
Just to be clear I have 0 SP invested in vehicle skills. I don't oppose vehicle nerfs because they will nerf my build. I oppose them because you want to nerf them all to uselessness which will then make AV (Which I do use) useless as well.
Here's the deal. If you run around in the open you are a target for LAV's, tanks, ARs, snipers etc. As infantry your place is behind cover unless you are running to a new position. If you are using cover it's VERY easy to dodge LAVs.
If you want to stand out in the open like an idiot, or not wait until it's clear before sprinting through open ground, don't be surprised when you end up the hood ornament of an LAV. This isn't an issue of them being OP, it's an issue of you not knowing how to play the game.
Personally when I see more than 1 LAV I get GLEEFUL and pull a SL ASAP. And I'm terrified to hop in a LAV because most drivers aren't any good, and get you killed within a minute or two. And the turrets are terribad at the speeds good LAV drivers move.
Just because you only play rock, and hang out in the paper's domain, doesn't mean it's overpowered. You just want to play rock, rock, rock, and since I like to play scissors sometimes, nerfing paper to the point nobody plays it sounds downright ridiculous. |

But the swarm launcher is the bane of LAV existence. Generally I find a good spot with some cover overlooking the battle. When the LAV or tank pops onto the field I just spam missiles which are SUPER easy to lock. Tanks end up retreating but generally survive. LAVs generally die unless they are well fit with a good driver. Then they just go running in terror.
Nothing OP about it other than possibly my SL. There is no LAV problem. |
