You said 500 previously (must have been a typo), but I just meant that as a general comment on everybody wanting to shoot from as far away as possible. I prefer to see whites of my enemy's (sometimes nonexistent) eyes when I fight.
Anywho, I'm just glad to see you're butthurt about something other than SP for once. |

The hard stop is very immersion breaking. It looks weird to see the bullet trails just stop a foot in front of your face.
However, it is kind of a useful tool in battle. When the finally implement proper falloff, your bullets will still connect beyond their max range, but will probably do next to no damage. I foresee this confusing people even more than the hard stop, as they won't be able to determine the max range as easily. (It will be good for stopping shields from recharging, though.)
As usual, CCP has their work cut out for them. |

Regardless they are working on something that was announced at fanfest to deal with the whole effective range and optimal range other than having bullets simply disappear. You're friken kidding me with this right. I can literally throw a baseball further than most of the small arms in dust can shoot.
How'd you manage that without breaking your TV? |
