Speaking of Semi-Automatic SCR... it doesn't work as it obviously should work. At all. I know for sure from the forums and in-game friends that the majority of people agree with the fact SA Scramblers are messed up.
They are redicolously powerful but still totally unreliable and useless in any tactical situation. Right now it feels like a hyper-powered scoped pistol. What's the purpose of a laser dot scope on a CQC weapon? Yesterday I read a thread about Tac AR nerf (pointless here) where the OP speaks about the SA Scrambler as well. She's also my friend and after replying to her post I actually had the will to try this weapon once again. Well, it feels like going around with one of those Looney Toones' toy-guns which disintegrate people with one shot.
Right now it's like this: A or B A) You get a kill in a split second B) You are dead
How I think it should work: -You can get a very fast kill if you do it right -If your opponents is "good enough/armored enough" he still got a chance to "counter attack/run away very very fast" (good luck) -If you mess up your charged shot you still got a chance to survive against a competent opponent even if with a clear disadvantage (good luck to you, this time) -If you start the gunfight shooting fast and the first 5 shots are not enough, you actually have the chance to gradually slow down the rate of fire instead of stop shooting immediately and being owned while "waiting for the cooldown/switching to sidearm".
My idea of fix: -Increase Max Range (not optimal range...) by 100%. Yes, I mean double it. -Slightly decrease damage-per-hit -Slightly decrease overheating-per-shot OR slightly increase cooldown speed while firing (not after full overheat)

Whenever I see Protoman in game he's always pwning with the scrambler rifle....
Maybe the gun is fine and it's the players who are ****?

You obviously haven't tried investing enough interest or dedication to this gun. Once you become an expert with it like me, plus once you've specced fully into proficiency, you WILL BE one shotting scouts and assaults, I have no problem with it at all, it is balanced perfectly. But it only becomes overpowering when you dedicate a lot to it. |

The first points for how you want the weapon to work are already all true. Your suggestions to fix the weapon would break it. I suggest you try using an AR or a tactical sniper rifle as these would seem to fit what you're requesting. If you deadset on using this weapon try putting some sp into it and an Amarr assault suit.
In the future I suggest you play with a weapon more before you make ridiculous requests to change it. |

Please do not do anything to this weapon
The Scrambler rifle is just fine the way it is.
And the assualt scrambler rifle does over heat if I use 1 and a half clips right after another of an assault scrambler it will indeed over heat. |

Right. I'm a **** player because I think it's uwkward that you can OVERKILL people at close range with a scoped rifle but you can't shoot anyone from 30 meters away. Makes sense.

I don't need to find a gun to use, thank you very much! I'm just considering this particular weapon for what it is and there's no need to spend 1.500.000 SP to specialize to see how a gun works. You can say you disagree without saying my request are ridicolous because my point of view has the same value of your point of view. |

Unless you specialize into this weapon you won't actually know how heat reduction and damage on it work. You can't use a standard or militia variant of a weapon and then make suggestions for changing all aspects of that weapon because you don't yet know how that weapon really works.
This isn't grade school. Opinions and points of view are not all created equal. You are certainly entitled to having your opinion, but don't expect people to give it any merit or respect if it's ill formed.

The scrambler rifle only needs an increase in effective range. Other than that the weapon works perfectly. |

The sr is fine I can't use it for **** so I just use the assault. But it's one gun in thr game that I think pretty much agress is balanced |

They are increasing the range of SCR and it will most likely be comparable to the TAC - not sure if longer or shorter.
Cant wait till the Combat Rifle and Rail Rifle come in to give players different options to deal with each other. |

This entire thread is a good read and should hopefully put to rest some of the TAR concerns. They still need to balance a few other weapons against AR's but those changes should be a good start. |

No. all the scrambler rifles are fine and balanced. the only issue is the hit detection not registering the hip fire or the single shot as good as it could be. |

Overheats just fine with an Amarr assault bonussed suit after 3 clips, 2 i wthout the suit bonus.
Its an assault rifle, what do you want? Overheat after 20 Rounds ?
