Like I said playing as a Templar isn't fun. At all. I know I'm playing as one in the spirit of the event, give some players that 2.5m and trying to have fun by playing cat and mouse with people huntin me. I hate sounding like a **** but have you considered you just arent a decent player if you keep getting stomped? Ive set up fits using only militia and standard gear and gone 8 and 0 in matches and no I was sniping or hiding in a tank or LAV
Nah I do alright. Been doing abou 1500 WP a game as a logi, don't get many kills but I manage.
For the most part on my main I use std gear lol dragonfly suit and shotty
It's the not being able to buy stuff for the first few hours that suck, after that hump it's slightly better but still wish we had halfway decent characters lol. |

True Adamance wrote:I know they get deleted but the only reason they are doing this is to test drive out the new Templar gear. Why give players more SP to spec into guns and such that CCP doesn't want to test or more importantly guns that don't define the purpose and role of the Templars in the event.
test drive novelty skins?
could a templar renegade confirm if theres any difference between templar gear and standard variations?
i bought the collectors pack, and get to wait till 6 months after the anniversary to get any of the digital loot... though am still lookin forward to that Rifter USB Hub |

I just want to know why you would have singed up to be something where you are every ones target unless you are a badass? even with a bad ass suit and level you would be the sole focus of the battle field and you wouldn't have gotten a single kill more cause people would have been flooding to kill you. Proto and all level five is not that strong and if you can't hold your own in std or hell even MLT gear so next time how about you not sing up to be a target and steal that away from someone who can actually play and be grateful for the challenge you stupid inconsiderate ****. |

New characters do not start with any of the above gear, nor 2mill SP so no it's not literally like starting a new character. Also 300x Dropsuits for earning 20k SP, were you expecting them to be Proto?
I've been reaming CCP lately for failure to communicate sufficiently and clearly. I cannot however see how that's the case when it comes to the Templar Manhunt event.

they did a relatively good job explaining how things were going to work, but they were almost 24 hours late on their list, and a full 24 hours late on the deployment. the list that was slated for release on the 30th didnt come out till just a few hours prior to downtime if i recall, something like 4-5am server time on the 31st. though i give them slack on the list, hopefully they learned to close signups a day earlier and release the list 24 hours later, giving them proper time to process the fabrication of said list...
however, the delay of event seems like a big hiccup somewhere, if the suits and equipment bpos were simply a reskin of standard versions, what delayed the release?
also, i thought standard versions are t1 gear, not meta1, there is a difference. tech 1(meta 0) http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Large_Shield_Extender_I

I rather enjoyed the event, it was a challenge to get going for sure but once I got a good suit going it was a lot of fun. I hated seeing other Templars suiciding and decided to run either solo or with my corp. I don't think it is nearly as bad or as hard as many people seem to make it. |
