didnt read past the first half dozen flames on the first page
but the event does seem silly that the 300 hunted FIRST GEN templars are such weak pansies... my 2 week old alt has 900k and some change SP... thats skill cap and back to the main.
if the logic behind them NOT joining the emperess was that htye thought they stood a chance against the masses... wouldnt it make sense that they would be a bit stronger? |

Like I said playing as a Templar isn't fun. At all. I know I'm playing as one in the spirit of the event, give some players that 2.5m and trying to have fun by playing cat and mouse with people huntin me. Playing as a Templar would be incredibly fun. As I said in other threads Im essentially abandoning a 7m SP toon simply because he doesn't have the amarr assault suit avatar.... 2m SP is still better than my 700k.
these characters are to be deleted at the end of the event, its not like they GAVE people permanent characters... they should at least be competitive...
and who was the clown who made all templars have cald portraits... DERP!
but i feel the event would be more entertaining if the templars were a challenge to kill... but CCP didnt want them specing into tanks and dropships... good call on that front... |

True Adamance wrote:I know they get deleted but the only reason they are doing this is to test drive out the new Templar gear. Why give players more SP to spec into guns and such that CCP doesn't want to test or more importantly guns that don't define the purpose and role of the Templars in the event.
test drive novelty skins?
could a templar renegade confirm if theres any difference between templar gear and standard variations?
i bought the collectors pack, and get to wait till 6 months after the anniversary to get any of the digital loot... though am still lookin forward to that Rifter USB Hub |

Its all standard tier BPOs. You could afford the collectors pack?
didnt do it for the DUST loot... ive spent over $2,000 over the last 5 years in subscription fees alone to EVE Online, what was another $150 to commemorate it |

Its literally no better than starting a new character The suits are standard meta 1 suits in BPO form with BPO weapons (some of which don't have a BPO version for sale in the game at present). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ru2P3gHeHxs&feature=youtu.beQuote:lit-+er-+al-+ly /-êlit+Ör+Öl-ô/ Adverb
In a literal manner or sense; exactly: "the driver took it literally when asked to go straight over the traffic circle". Used to acknowledge that something is not literally true but is used for emphasis or to express strong feeling.
Synonyms literatim - word for word - verbatim - to the letter New characters do not start with any of the above gear, nor 2mill SP so no it's not literally like starting a new character. Also 300x Dropsuits for earning 20k SP, were you expecting them to be Proto? I've been reaming CCP lately for failure to communicate sufficiently and clearly. I cannot however see how that's the case when it comes to the Templar Manhunt event. 0.02 ISK Cross
they did a relatively good job explaining how things were going to work, but they were almost 24 hours late on their list, and a full 24 hours late on the deployment. the list that was slated for release on the 30th didnt come out till just a few hours prior to downtime if i recall, something like 4-5am server time on the 31st. though i give them slack on the list, hopefully they learned to close signups a day earlier and release the list 24 hours later, giving them proper time to process the fabrication of said list...
however, the delay of event seems like a big hiccup somewhere, if the suits and equipment bpos were simply a reskin of standard versions, what delayed the release?
also, i thought standard versions are t1 gear, not meta1, there is a difference. tech 1(meta 0) http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Large_Shield_Extender_I
