I am currently at 15,800 War Points and i'm around +20 kills over even. I'm shocked I even have a positive k/d considering I will kamikaze (1vs 10) to help players get the bounty award. usually I do get 1-2 kills per kamikaze attempt. Really I am just right now having fun with being a Templar. even if I am getting somewhat face rolled game in and game out.
What was surprising was we started off with No ISK, not even the 250k isk a brand new character would receive. So I had No skill books at start. Took a few games to get even the Skill books that cost 567k ISK.
Then from the Announcement section it appeared that we would be using "Advanced A/1" which unfortunately we only have "Standard" issue.
We got 2 million SP instead of 1milion. I can't even imagine what it would be like with only 1 million. The thing here is 2 million doesn't even let us skill into the Amarr Civ suit bonus mastery. I think once they put Templars over 2 million we should of been up to 3 or 4 million.
The Suits are the equivalent to the MAG, Dren, or Dragonfly Standard suits. Which is really perfectly fine except the Templar suits do not get the Amarr Civ Bonus of Overheating, Clip size, other heavy bonus.
The Weapons are the equivalent to the Standard Scram.Rifle, Scram Pistol, and Laser Rifle. So far I have killed myself more times from Feedback damage then I would like too. This is where Balance suggestions for CCP on the ScramRifle and Laser Rifle will really help them.
with the Scram Rifle I can only get 5-8 single fire shots before that sucker Overheats and then I am basically a free kill to whoever I am in a gun fight with. The Charge shot needs to have a Faster projectile speed and Longer Range. Then after about 10 games I had to stop using the Templar Scram Rifle because I was going nutz of getting a kill then I would kill myself from the Feedback damage :/
The Laser rifle, I am surprisingly do semi-decent with it. I only use it for testing or when I know the game will be me vs a team of 16 Proto-gear gun wielding players. The Laser rifle should do bit more damage to LAVs.
There is times I just go straight up kamikaze style knowing I am going die anyways but I am just trying to help people get that 2.5million bounty bonus.
The worse thing about this event so far, is the amount of stupid people who are trash talking the Templars. Especially the super tryhards who are decked out Proto everything and think the Templars are "Super Soldiers"
It is also sad that some of the players picked to be Templars are so worried about their k/d of character who is about to get Erased in a few days.
what I also like so far is I have met some players/people I would of never met before when I was running full Templar squads of 6.
I do wish CCP would of done something to make it a little more creative but I am guessing with the problems they had a day prior they may of scrapped a few things.
Overall I am having Fun with the event. I hope CCP does more of these Community involved promotions.

Peeps that die to the Templar Laser Rifle probably emo rage knowing its a low sp player with arguably the most nerfed weapon in the game. Lol |

how I have actually killed people with the Laser is just beyond me too. Then again I do have somewhat decent Aim  At the Standard level, those weapons shouldn't really be slayer ability anyways. |

I'm glad your having fun at least. I got my 3 kills earlier today, after that the only templars I've seen have been hiding in crowds. |

I havn't been able to play yet but will in a few hours. Glad to hear a few things, sad to hear a few things. Overall I plan to have fun with it. |
