I understand how important it is to conserve clones and its great to help your team out; however, for any players new and old please PLEASE do not revive a player when we're surrounded by berries and surely going to die immediately.
The most extreme case of this I've experienced is where i was revived and killed consecutively 4 times. Before I could even change where I wanted to deploy, the brave medic revived me only for me to catch a shotgun blast to the face. Only to be brought back again to be a human shield for a grenade, followed by a snipe to the head. I think i put my controller down by the last death, as the surrounding mob of red shirts didn't give me much hope for escaping.
On top of adding pointless deaths to my total, I also often find I'm revived having no ammo and no nanohives nearby. Sometimes its better to have a new clone for ammo/dropsuit change purposes. While I do appreciate the efforts of helpful medics on the team, sometimes a bit more tactical consideration should be given to the situation.
I wonder if CCP can add a "Do Not Resuscitate" card to my dropsuit wallet. |

While the enemy gets kills for every revive and rekill, you will only get a death counted once you bleed out completely. |

You got farmed for warpoints..
That same logi wouldn't have revived you if you were part of his corporation.
Also, assaults carry injectors too. |

Carry injectors if you are in a pre-formed squad. Otherwise, your team is better off with hives, repair tools, drop links, and scanners. |

I try to ensure that the area is clear before reviving, but I can only do so much if it isn't safe I don't revive you.

4 consecutive revives on the same body in this build? That logi must have been sooo happy, I would have kept reviving to see how far my luck would go.
Medics don't revive, Medics revive too much,... When are we going to get a positive logi thread in here?
Edit: does no one else darklogi-revive someone for a longer bleed-out to save a expensive suit,....? Maybe you looked expensive, take it as a compliment. |

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say maybe that logi was overly optimistic and had really high hopes for your survival. Maybe he/she thought if you were revived you would immediately be able to shoot down the enemy-I've seen it happen.
When I revive someone, I expect them to immediately move so that I can use the repair tool on them. Maybe he/she thought-especially after the second time-that you'd try extra-hard to high-tail it out of there.
I know it seems obvious not to revive in the line of fire, but sometimes it's not so obvious how much of a threat that can pose. It's never the same situation twice. It's not always easy to make a judgement call. That said, 4 times in a row is excessive. |

To be honest, sometimes its good to revive in a firefight, if they get behind cover you've got another gun alongside you. |

I should clarify, I don't mean any disrespect to the logis and medics that are taking care to revive you and following their role. I certainly would dodge the incoming hostiles if I even regained control long enough to jump. Usually not the case for me. I take such incidents as I described earlier with a grain of salt since...in a pub match, that's kinda what you get.
Also, at the end of the match I show up as killed for all the revives/insta deaths I received. So not sure about that whole bleed out thing :P |
