Why is it I never see the little icon for eve ships that are shooting down orbitals on the ground? If your going to say its because there is no eve ship their, why should we be able to call in the orbital strike if there is no supplier. It takes away from the connection. |

Well, there are no Eve ships. Most of the strikes come from the WarBarge. Maybe make the warbarge visible from the ground? But then you can't see it in Eve...Not sure. |

Those strikes come from the imaginary War Barge in orbit.
I recently had a Dust player explain to me why Precision strikes are the only ones that should be used because having to rely on the EVE pilot helping you to respond in a timely manner is too much of a risk.
This is the prevailing attitude of quite a bit of our community, and rather sad to see for an EVE pilot that loves providing such support like I do. |

I see quite a few, you just need to organize eve support. It's quite interesting to look up and see 5 blue icons above you, gives you a sense of security and let's the potential for this connection to sink in. |

In Planetary Conquest battles where you can actually call in strikes from EVE pilots, you can see an icon in the sky highlighting the pilot in space, I think it also gives you the pilots name and shows if its friendly or not. All other strikes are the much weaker War Barge Orbital strikes that you see in high-sec games. |

And I had no issue with that, and enjoyed doing it for pretty much every battle I could follow around.
But now it's like the novelty wore off and everyone just sticks with the easy, "safe" option. Sadly enough, it'll probably take far larger maps and the introduction of Medium ammo before EVE-side strikes are really taken seriously. |

Oh I don't know about that, just the other day we were able to make use of an EVE strike which allowed us to get a juicy Enforcer kill that would have been impossible with your standard WarBarge strike. The various types of EVE strikes allow for some interesting tactics. |

Just wish I had more takers. |
