Damn kool aid drinkers. I'm an EVE fanboy and even I see the issues with this game. Don't just point the finger at all EVE players as the source of the problem. We all know something stinks about Dust 514 whether some of us want to admit it or not. If EVE had problems we have it wouldn't be where it is right now. Both sides of the community need to stop blaming each other and look a the real source of the problem He said fanboys nothing about Eve in that post at all. EVE fanboys, CoD/BF fanboys, fanboys in general, does it even ****ing matter at this point. CCP ****ed up, we know they ****ed up, and game critics are showing potential customers that they ****ed up. All we've gotten is fluff and key words to point to superficial damage control. Hell, they can't even seem to put out detailed patch notes in regard to game mechanics that we invested our time, AUR, isk, and SP into with prior notice for us to find a way to "adapt or die."
There's a huge disconnect between their office, the CPM and us and pointing fingers at our player community isn't going to solve the problem. |

Damn kool aid drinkers. If the complainers could just put things into terms more descriptive than "this sucks" and "I hate this" and other ridiculous whiny crap CCP might actually have something they could listen to. Additionally, I don't think CCP is listening to any group in particular, as there is something bothering just about everyone. Or, have you been so self-absorbed with your own particular concern that you hadn't noticed? Damned selfish haters.
Many examples of the many many issues have been pounded into these threads for nearly a month now? What are you even saying? This sucks and I hate this? Your blind. We have made countless threads explaining the bugs that are crippling the game. You say CCP is not listening to any groups? What? CPM do they count? I hope CCP listens to the groups who are commenting on the many many broken bug threads that litter the feedback section.

You sir are the poster child for fanboi Keep in mind that issues like aiming, vehicles, and weapons being bugged were the product of them turning a blind eye to our feedback and pulling a cloak and dagger behind a mask of transparency. Most things didn't seem to get fixed immediately either until the number of players on Tranquility started to plummet. That's when they finally went into damage control mode and started busting tail to get things right. On top of that, it's funny how there never seems to be anything wrong with micro transactions and if they are, they're top priority. Look at some of the bug reports and prompt responses. |

Closing your wallet is only one half of the equation. If you want action, close your game client. If the majority of us on the forums just don't log in, they'll realize something is up and try to make things right. But as long as we all talk our BS about what's wrong but continue our little romps through a handful of game modes and Tranquility's numbers stay in their projected ranges, they're not going to do a damn thing. Ban together with your corporations friends, allies, hell even enemies and stay off the server. They'll be ready to work out a deal in no time. They may run the machine, but we're the inner workings. |

There's a 20 page threadnaught about the MD going on where we get a bit of fluff about taking it safe after they neutered a weapon I invested 3,000,000 SP into that I can do more damage if I fed it to someone and the realization that it wasn't even nerfed based on player feedback but a ****ing survey on how many people on the office were using the goddamned Freedom. No patch notes, no forewarning, nothing. I bought an apple that turned into an orange when I bit into it and the guy at the fruit stand told me to adapt or die. Outside of socializing with some good friends, I haven't logged in for an extended period of time, my alt that I petitioned for a respec with 2 days before the deadline got their's before the one I requested with on day one so I'm stuck with my ****ing potato launcher. People spouting out HTFU aren't helping either when that doesn't work in this context. The 4th wall of New Eden has been breached and risk vs reward went askew when my investment rewarded me with a nerf based on some a dev getting butthurt over a grenade launcher. If I didn't see the irony of the entire situation and wasn't a customer of CCP for as long as I've been, I'd probably be looking for another game to play and long since biomassed my toon to eliminate any temptation to come back on the grounds of passive SP so I can get ripped off again. Also, if you noticed the CPM is pretty tight lipped right now too. I'm certain CCP has a gag on them and some serious **** is going to go down on Monday. Mark my words. |

When I offer suggestions to CCP I suppose I should wrap them in whiny directives and suggestions that the game will die if I'm not listened to?
Anyhow, since you missed it, there are enough things wrong that pretty much everyone is impacted by something. It's not like there is a group of people out there who are happy with everything. Those would be your mythical fanbois. Crapping all over CCP, the devs, or the CPM are not going to get us what we want -- and it doesn't take a fanboi to find a better way.
On another note... giving development timelines perhaps we should trust that the last month of whining has in fact been heard already and that whining about the same **** isn't going to accomplish much.

The game can be held together even in the short term while they get their long term house in order. However, to do that it needs 2 things right now, which admittedly aren't small cheese.
1) Matchmaking - no newbies and draining the few players remaining if matches don't have some bare resemblance of balance. There is NO excuse to not have a matchmaking system, none, nada, zilch. There are so many metrics readily available to use already built into the game.
2) Basic movement, aiming and terrain mechanics (yeah OK, that's big)
If Dust's senior project manager isn't living his life on these 2 objectives fire his ass.
Don't get me wrong, all the other stuff like new modes and maps and weapon balance are vital too, but these are the 2 things that make people log in and say WTH is this $4!&, why am I playing this with my free time!?!? |

"And while we're at it can we get a visual indicator of what counts as out of range for your weapon?"
anything that can reach anyone wearing a protoad suit is op and needs a range nerf.
because about 99.9% of these protoad wearing nerds are just casuals and if it wasn't for the suit, they woulda been outta here weeks ago based on ass kickings.
anyone who thinks the weapons are fine now is a casual gamer, a codboi or is mentally impaired.

I'm actually not a fan of PS2. Sure it's pretty, but you never really feel like your impacting the world in the same as dust.
I do agree that the state of dust is a far cry from the AAA shooter experience that CCP was promising. At least they seem to have tosned down the marketing rhetoric and are focusing on fixing the game. |
