You sent me this fancy card with a bunch of money on it, so I went on a shopping spree. Got myself a new car, new big screen HDTV, home theater system and tons of new clothes!
But at the end of the month I got some strange letter in the mail, requesting that I pay back all the money I spent. What is this absurd concept? You gave me money so I spent it, why do I need to pay it back? I never bothered to read the contract I agreed to, therefore I am not liable for that money and it is your fault I didn't read it. I also thought free money just fell out of the sky? This is BS!!! I am calling my lawyer!

the sticky clearly stated there would be an isk refund for money spent on skill books as part of the respec. i go around 30 mil which sounded about right considering how deep in some of the trees i was.
i didn't end up with a negative value but i didn't spend much either
in any case, CCP basically lied about it, or screwed up their script so the refund came out higher than it should have |

While I would love to see those who recklessly spent ISK, that they didn't earn, get shafted, I'm sure CCP is going to reimburse these players somehow. Either by selling off everything they purchased, or by refunding all their assets/salvage.
Worst case scenario is they reset them to 0 and let them keep everything they bought, and in which case those of us who were responsible get the short end of the stick. |

As soon as I saw that free isk, I got off so I wouldn't do anything I would regret. The sad thing is I still lost 10 million isk of my 16 million. |
