I suggest giving it a shot. "the businesses that matter"
Care to elaborate on what businesses those are? |

What I find interesting is that you didn't quote the entire post, or at least the section where you just plucked the OP from...
GM Grave wrote:Update 11:30 May 29th UTC An issue that occurred after downtime on the 28th of May has granted many characters more ISK than they should have. Players are advised not to spend ISK that they did not acquire though normal game play as this ISK is scheduled to be reversed as soon as possible. Players who have spent more ISK than they were entitled to should refer to the Over-spending section of this post, and should be aware that their characters may be subject to negative wallet balances. Players should liaise with their corporations to ensure ISK donations are returned to the original character otherwise all characters and corporations involved in ISK laundering will be subject to further ISK reversal. Users found to have abused corp donations may be subject to punitive actions against their accounts however such cases will be addressed on their own merits and handled on a case by case basis.
This clearly and plainly lays out that, if you received a generous amount of ISK all of a sudden, you weren't supposed to spend it.
The whole "you used words that hurt my feelings" business is a little needless and over-dramatic for my tastes.
Now, just posting this information in the forums might not have been the best course of action (like Noc stated previously). An in-game mail probably would have yielded better results than the post, but you have to carry the assumption that even at that point, not everyone is going to get the message. |

I quoted the sections I was responding to and linked to the post. You seem to be implying that I was dishonest with my sampling. I wasn't, the thread that was plucked from was too long for it to be practical to quote it all, so I linked the whole thing. My feelings aren't hurt, this isn't about this specific community announcement, it's about CCP's modus operandi when it comes to interacting with the players, which I feel is detrimental to the development of an online community.
It was not my intention to imply that you were being dishonest with your "sampling," merely that including everything that GM Grave typed out (in regards to the section that you picked) seems to balance things out.
I understand what this is about. The way CCP communicates with it's players (re: customers) has been interesting, to say the least, to see. |
