Any player who has played more than a month is aware that there are many players out there shooting tactical rifles at superhuman rates of fire, this is because of the unfair advantage some players get when they decide to put down $100 for a modified controller that allows them to fire a semi-auto rifle at the speed of a full-auto. I really hope that CCP realizes that this is a serious concern for many players and that it can be fixed by simply lowering the max rate of fire of all tactical rifles to speeds that a regular human can actually fire at.
By default they have left their rate of fire at the same speeds as their full-auto variations, this leaves room for abuse by players who aim to do nothing but win on unfair grounds with a controller that is capable of firing faster than a human hand can. Just lower tacticals' rates of fire and the issue can be resolved easily. |

lowering RoF, increasing hipfire dispersion and smaller mags for the TAR are currently in testing and might hit us in a few weeks.
To the point of modded controllers. I have yet to see a single video that shows that/how well they work in combination with the tac wich makes me doubt that they're all that prevalent. |

I use the TAC and you'll find no argument from me that the TAC is OP. However, it is clear you have not used the TAC as a modded controller serves no benefit; the faster you fire the TAC the more it kicks around like a mule. In CQC it might be effective, but medium range, no chance.
So shouldn't your argument be that the TAC CQC ability needs to be made less effective?

I actually did use the GLU for quite some time now and that's exacly the reason why i started getting suspicious of the whole modded thing and that is also why i mentioned the lack of video proof. I can easily reach fire rates that are completely useless outside of CQC because the kick gets incontrollable and i'm not even close to 789rpm.
And yes it's the QCQ capabilities, or rather the fact that it does that and ranged so well that's the problem. Because of that i believe that the coming changes will do the weapon good (balance is always good). |
