Incubus is better, higher ehp, feels more precise in how it controls (hard to explain, it's just how it feels to me), and for the speed, it sits somewhere between the eryx and the python, leaning to the python side. I fly both, I've been flying pythons since uprising hit and I specced into the incubus today, it's such a joy to fly. Went down to 17 armour at one point and my repper pulled me back, that said there's something scary about armour tanking, it's the lack of a safety net that shield tanking has. Oh and my incubus was flying around with a 19% speed reduction due to armour plates.
Can you take 2 proto FG shots back-to-back without repping? |

Heh, "letting" them hit you sometimes isn't an option. I was firing on a LAV headed to an objective, 2 heavies jumped out with FGs and started charging. I immediately tried to bugger out and juke as best I could, but I pretty much got insta-gibbed. Wasn't pretty.
Those 2 heavies could keep the skies completely clear all by themselves. |

Quote:That's trueSad did run into a forge gun though, standard from the looks of its damage, I'd say it would need 4-5 shots to kill me. Just a guess though, what I know for sure is that it would have killed my python fit in less than that for sure.

I ran that exact setup for awhile. I really liked having the fuel injector, but I've been getting along pretty well without it now. I just hated waiting around so long for shields to recharge once I got hit.
Current setup...
High Slots Azeotropic Ward Extenders x2 Ward Shield Amplifier Light Clarity Ward Shield Booster
Low Slots Light Payload Control System II x2 (dmg mods)
Turrets XT-1 Fragmented Missle (the fragmented one has larger splash, helps a lot hitting infantry) ST-1 Fragmented Missle x2
With skills this puts me at... 2571 shields 770 armor ~26% dmg reduction to shields (assuming skills and modules are additive?)
I feel a little bad shooting down other dropships, but the majority of them are MLT ships, and die SO EASILY. |

That... is quite the tank for an ADS. I might just have to spec into that and play around with it.

So far the majority of my air battles have been against MLT ships, and they burn very fast. Not sure how I would do going up against that much hp.
