Are they angry because they gave a lot of money on accident to one of the most ruthless greedy gaming communities in the history of gaming?
Did we give ccp a little taste of meta gaming? And now they feel the need to trololololol us right into debt?
I mean seriously. .... what harm can an extra 20-600 million isk do? It doeant make you a better player does it? Did it break our fragile market? Oh wait we dont have one.
I will admit my 170 million isk debt. I spent that money restocking.... i didn't use it to fund terrorism, or use it in some other game breaking mechanic.
Ccp you ****** up. Maybe instead of punishing us for your **** up you could bite the bullet and say " merry dust christmas enjoy your free isk!"
Also I don't want to hear the bank argument. It is invalid as ccp is not a bank, this is not real money, and it does not effect the game or "market" in a negative way.
So I ask you dust community...... what did you spend your free isk's on?

You basically doubled the money supply in the system. The economist probably got a heart attack when he saw that.
That means they have to change the prices in the store, rebalance ISK gain, change costs that come with PC etc'. Not worth the trouble.
The rest of this post is utter nonsense and I will not spend even a minute of my time reading it. QQ more, I love it. |

Honestly, I think one of the main reasons for pulling the ISK and putting those who spent it in the negative is due the the eventual merge of the dust and eve economies. Right now they can adjust the ISK reward given out in instant battles to change the value of ISK as the please and to keep things closely managed, and having god knows how much ISK randomly injected into the dust economy (barely deserving of the name I know) seriously screwed up the value of ISK.
And since I was a smart person, I spent none of it.

Tbh, it's only fair if they remove the money (or stuff you bought). In RL, if you check your bank account and suddenly have -ú100m whereas a day earlier you only had -ú100...and you then spend it all...guess what will happen ;)
The whiners are simply childish people who either blatantly tried to exploit a mistake...or they're simply dumb. CCP informed all of us on the 28th right when it happened. |

CCP did in fact make an honest mistake.
Upon being notified or otherwise discovering this mistake, they immediately put out an announcement outlining what the mistake was and that they were taking steps to rectify it.
Players took advantage of the mistake; spending ISK they knew they had not earned. Did they think CCP would not discover this mistake? NO! They knew (or should have had some idea that) the mistake would be discovered and corrected, but elected to spend the excess ISK.
IMO these players tried to take advantage of CCP.
I have no sympathy for these players. |

Honestly, undead, if you already reject the basic premise of not spending what you didn't earn or already own (aka. the bank example), then you're not going to get it. No worries. File your petition to have the assets you purchased refunded and you'll be back to something resembling where you were already at.
To answer your question though, I didn't spend the money and I'm not in the negative. This was all a non-factor for us that used common sense. No offense intended, as I respect your skillz; just not your judgment. |

Lol I reapect that. And in all honesty I didn't check the forums nor did I hear about their **** up untill I already spent my isk. So I was screwed either way. I did file a petition so I guess I don't get to keep my 600 madrugars lol. |

Doesn't mean you should just switch off you brain. Should be obvious to anyone with a brain that if one day you had 20m and now you have 100m, something's wrong because you didn't EARN that money in the first place. The entire game is build around earning isk for crying out loud.
And it's not as if CCP didn't warn people...they did so first on the 28th right when the mistake happened.
One of the major whiners who created an entire thread even admitted he spent the isk on purpose thinking they can't take it away anymore. Talking about being a moron ;) |

This is a GAME, and not connected to the EVE market, prices are fixed. But the value of ISK is not, and that's the important thing here. with such a huge injection of ISK CCP had two choices A) raise the prices of items to balance out the value of ISK. B) remove said ISK
Now option b also involved putting those who spent the ISK in the negative, that's part of balancing out the value, and since CCP are nice people, if you file a petition they will remove the assets you brought and set you back to your original ISK amount. |

Also, remember that CCP wants EVE players to be a order of magnitute richer than Dust players. We're the foot soldiers hired by people in suits, we're always going to be poorer. I'm guessing they found a balance they want to keep, and injecting this much money at once will destroy this balance. |

'Are* CCP angry'
'CCP', when talking in that term, is a plural. CCP is a group of people, and CCP are angry. |

I didn't, the multiple mails and the massive pop up messages explaining what would happen if you spent that money informed me that spending it would be a silly move.
