I have to agree with most of the posters. You got free isk. You knew it was a glitch. You thought "hey ill spend it all fast so they can't take it back". You went into the red. You are pissed that you didn't get away with cheating.

If you spent all that isk than you can use the assets that you bought until you go positive again.

I agree that putting people into the negative ain't the best. All transactions being reversed would have been best. However if they didn't do it its because they probably couldn't. Run free fits, grind your isk, and quit crying for attempting what amounts to stealing g.

Yes there were glitches in the balance reset. Some people had more taken away than given. Open a ticket and they will fix it.

If some ****** leaves a case full of millions in my yard and I happen to take it and invest it and spend it then thats some tough love buddy. You leave stuff on my property and expect its yours then you are strongly mistaken, I'll get my lawyer and well go to war.

They can just fill out a ticket and CCP will buy back all the stuff they tried to cheat away with and get their ISK back.

one point of noteworthy mention, CCP made a mistake by giving isk... PLAYER BASE made a mistake by not using their brain cell to process that they had more isk than they should.

my case, 153m ISK before downtime, 312 after downtime. i saw red flags from the char selection screen. others might not have had such major flags as mine. red flag 1: clearly wrong isk balance on char select screen
i got into game, checked skill tree, to see if i had gotten respec'd that morning, SP remained allocated, but isk was excessive. red flag 2: no respec, did they reimburse isk by mistake?
i then checked my assets to figure out why i had this isk. everythings still there. red flag 3: no market buy back
i checked my wallet to see if there were any event payout transactions, and the latest transaction entry still listed wallet balance at 153m. red flag 4: no wallet entry explaining it

if someone managed to go over 5m negative, and i feel i am being generous with this number, they are probably terrible at this game and should have noticed a red flag somewhere.

And now you'll be classified as a CCP dickrider and apologist who should never be listened to because you aren't jumping on the RAGETHREAD bandwagon.

Dear players, at 11:00 UTC on the 28th of May, an issue occurred where some players were credited with ISK. As this ISK was an unintended error it was removed from the game as of 11:00 UTC on the 30th of May.

As a result of this issue a number of characters entered negative ISK balance due to over-spending. As a temporary measure we have now taken steps to revert affected characters back to 0 ISK in order to allow them to continue playing as normal

In the meantime we are working on a system to reclaim ISK from over-spending that will review player purchases and corp donation histories on a case by case basis in order to fairly correct each characters ISK wallet and assets as soon as possible.

While it may take some time to apply these changes we will contact affected users once we have rebalanced their ISK status to let them know that there should be no further adjustments.
