Don't you have enough people fed up with this game already? You do realize, that 95% of the people you sent into ISK debt, will NEVER play this game again. I didn't go negative, but I am among the minority of the players you have. I come here on the forums daily, to find out what's going on. Most players don't. Most players just want to turn on their PS3 and play. They saw the extra ISK and thought it was part of the respec like before. As a matter of fact for the first week or more in your response letters to submitting a Respec Ticket you said you were going to refund ISK I'll quote my response from you:
"The skill respec will be applied to your characters in the coming days once we have completed and deployed changes to the skill tree. This one time respec will remove and refund all ISK and skill points that have been applied to date."
So I get taking back the extra ISK, even sending people to 0 ISK, but negative? No one is going to use free suits to dig their way out of millions to 10's of millions of ISK debt, they are just going to move on to a new game.
Your meager offer to have someone submit a ticket and have some of thier inventory turned back into ISK, is a tedious process, that won't help most people because they spent that ISK on everything from Protosuits, to Tanks. Then had those items destroyed by people like me. Some people donated alot to their corp who spent that ISK on PC. So, most of that ISK is gone, and can't be refunded. For a company who's general motto is if you can do it in the game then it's allowed, you are going against everything you believe in, by doing what you did.
People went on a spending spree, but it was your fault.
If you aren't going to just give the ISK back, then take the extra ISK, and inventory but if they are still negative, just set them to ZERO ISK not NEGATIVE. If you don't I am pretty sure outer space wont be the only place in a vacuum.
This is akin to saying that players found exploiting glitches shouldn't be punished. NO.
In every game I've played, console or otherwise, exploiters are punished, sometimes banned.
This is the case here. I'm sure those players were laughing their asses off as they spent tons of ISK they didn't have. Well, good luck.
I don't give a crap if they stay or go personally. |

That is EXACTLY what CCP's policy is on glitching. Unless they are hacking the game, anything you can do in game is legal. You ever heard of someone being kicked for Head Glitching, or sitting in the MCC? NO!
LOL. Let me know when you find a glitch and exploit it. You seem to not have looked very far for CCP's stance on things. Do a lookup on Bot mining.

ShakeMS wrote:For the people that have attempted to cheat. They should return to 0 ISK and lose all inventory. OR find out the items they bought with the extra money and delete those items and all ISK. Allow them to keep the stuff they bought with the actual ISK they had. Meaning go back and look at inventories of the ones who were "wronged" see what they had before they got extra money allow them to keep that and clean out the rest of the inventory officer weapons and all + Isk and give them punishment for attempting to cheat.
CCP has logs they can see what was spent where the ISK went if the customer was TRULY wronged. They can tell.
This is exactly what will happen if the affected players petition CCP. Thus no problem anyway. Now of course, if they bought a bunch of LAVs or Proto gear or something and lost them in battle, then they'll be negative in suits, so... |

What the **** did you spend that much money on if you can't survive on it now? Did you all go cokebinge and dropships? Have you been playing the last 2 days? People were calling in Dropships/Tanks only to have them blown up then they called in more. In one game I played over 20 tanks were killed. It was fun and we benefited from blowing them up. Try this give a kid a bag of candy and tell them not to eat it for 2 days. If we're assuming the player base is made up of petulant children with no self-control, I'm definitely against giving them ISK back. I'd consider this an object lesson in consequence for wee tykes.
They have proven themselves to be so (for the most part). |

How many people used the broken Damage mods glitch, Head glitches, people don't get banned for sitting in the MCC all day and not play. they don't even get a slap on the wrist.
Damage mods were never broken, just a display error. AFK farming is on their list to fix. I can't call that a glitch though. As far as the head glitch, this is pretty iffy because it was very easy to exploit without knowing it.
In this case where a ton of ISK just magically appears, then these people go on a spending spree. Pretty obvious. |

But only for 30 days after purchase, and only if it is undamaged and in the original packaging. No letting them off clean should not happen. People don't learn lessons this way. Cheaters should be punished. Cheaters? Who cheated? People that spent money that was in their own wallet? What is the lesson to be learned that you can't trust CCP to do anything right? It was CCP's mistake, no one cheated, glitched, or exploited a glitch. All they did was spent money in their wallet. What they did was attempt to exploit an obvious error by spending isk that they didn't earn. They got burned. Rightly so. |
