Okay, does anyone have any sites/suggestions for builds for heavy suits? I have watched CEOpyrex videos but they do not explain the proto heavy suits and the fittings. There are so many options I am completely lost. |

Basic Proto suit
2x complex extenders
Boundless HMG
Side arm
Nade
2x Complex armor reps
CPU upgrade
_______________
People will have different fits cuz they play the class differently. You'll need to figure what you like more, in example, if you want Armor Plates, and rely on logis, or run reps.

That is one of the best features to this game. The ability to customize your char how you see fit to match your play style or a play style you would like to see.
Granted there are avenues that will not you will not see pay off as well as other classes, take for example the scout. Because of the higher base stats for movement speed, you'll see a higher return to skill into kin cats then a heavy, along with stamina. Tho that doesn't mean you couldnt a fast heavy. See what I'm hinting at?
For what the heavy is, it's kinda obvious that getting more armor and having armor reps would be important. I know what I prefer to run with to match what I do. There is no right way and no wrong way, it's your way. |

I'd suggest getting the capability to rep at least 5hp of armor so you can escape a hot zone. High slots depends on if you're going AV or AI. If AI and you always roll in a squad with logis, I'd suggest the heavy with 1 high slot and 4 low slots. I'd suggest at least the MH-82, as I've tried the Boundless and found it worth less than spit, then stack 2 or 3 of the best plates you can, and 1 or 2 complex armor reppers. Then I'd suggest fitting whatever you can in the one high slot.
For AV, I'd suggest at least the DAU Assault - that was my go-to forge during a lot of Chromosome. Then whichever heavy suit has 3 slots and 2 low slots; the high slots should be complex damage mods, and the low slots a combo of plate and repper, or 2 of either; plates if you run with a squad all the time, obviously.
I was both a tanker and heavy during Chromosome; now I'm just a tanker. But good luck blowing me up. I know quite well how hard it is to run a forge for both AV and AI. |

Good suggestion if this was chromosome. Heavies only have 2 high slots max in uprising, which is the basic proto. 2 high, 3 low. Proto sentinel has 1 high and 4 low. |

Try a 10% damage mod and 4 complex armor repair, then tell me if it works. It should have 25 hp/s armor regeneration and a nice punch. |

Still, I feel like I should have at least one plate for the extra life. Does the 25 hp/s actually happen during combat? |

25hp/sec might help against one AR newbie, but a group of 2 could probably bring down a regen heavy without a problem. |

Don't listen to this jibber jabber. The gear does not make the heavy/HMG user good it the understanding how to use the weapon and optimize your situation to use its advantages. All the better players can use their exile/raven load outs just as we'll as the proto stuff. The same is true for the HMG you should be able to own people with a 2k militia heavy/standard HMG combo as well. It's amazing how many times I melt proto heavy/HMG with my skimweave/standard HMG suit because they don't understand that yes the weapon can be aimed and yes headshots will kill you. Rely less on your gear and just get used to using it. In time you'll understand the gear doesn't help kill people it helps you stay alive longer. And to those recomendations for damage mods or kinetics your doing it wrong. |
