Before the respec I had gone into Gallente assault and specialized in armor tanking. I very quickly regretted it as heavies I was playing with were getting around just as quickly as I was. I felt like armor didn't really give me much advantages, or at least not enough to make up for the slower rep speed and movement gimp.
After talking with some friends yesterday about the options I figured between Caldari logi or Minmitar Assault... I went Minmitar assault. I've only played 4 matches in it so far but I'm enjoying it much more than I did the Gallente assault suit. It wasn't difficult to fit; with an enhanced CPU & PG mod I was able to fit my advanced and proto fits how I wanted (though I'd need proto CPU/PG mods to finish it, just not enough SP yet).
On the prototype suit I'm running 5 complex shield mods so my tank is pretty good, however my hybrid build I haven't tried yet is 3 complex shield & 2 complex dmg mods which I think will work out better. Generally sticking to the advanced suit since with the mods I can fit 3 complex shields, proto AR, proto uplink, toxin SMG & packed AV nades; which has been working out great.
It doesn't have the potential to reach a ridiculous EHP, even though my skills aren't maxed I believe I'm still around 600 or so. But hell.. that's still more than I had with armor tanking, recharging faster, and giving me 2 complex dmg mods.. so... YEAH! Can't wait to play it again.
Excited to get further spec'd into AV with all that dmg mod potential. I had to use a proto cpu mod as well. i have to tweek it a lil bit but I am running 4x complex shield extender, 1 enhanced sheild recharger and regulator and the cpu mod. GEK , proto smg, hives, packed av. From a logical standpoint it was a tremendous step down from funning the caldari logi proto, but i had to get away from the hip crowd and go a diff path. I would like to see the % 's of what the population of dust is in regards to logi, assault, heavy, and scout. *PHONICS*
I currently do not have high sp, but I do have the complex shield ext and there great, my ar is ok atm. I'm having a hard time choosing between cal logi or assault(equipment slots idc about), due to the fact that the assault may have 1 less high and low slot, which means less customization. But the assault auto is faster, has 30 more arm/shields, increased weapon reload, and more shield regen. On a logi I can make up for the hp with an extender and the regen with an extender, but that leaves me slower, with less hp or shield regen (one or the other) unless I want to sacrifice a dmg mod to use both, and less weapon reload speed. As an assault based player, I'm not sure the slots on logi does much more than make up for the losses. The up side of logi ofc is..auto arm repair, shield ext slightly more effective, and more customization options/with less need for core upg's. I do know however, even if I go proto logi, I will first get advanced assault. There is no doubt which adv suit is better, as far as i'm concerned, and the 500,000 sp for advanced suit is nothing compared to the 2,500,000 for the proto. So adv assault 1st, then i'm rlly not sure, anyone care to point out something i've missed or offer some input...it will be read and used accordingly... You all have a nice day =) |
