It was amusing at first, but it's getting frustrating at this point. I stopped hanging out near roads, but occasionally I have to cross one, and about a fourth of the time, I'll get run over. I look before I cross (ha), but by the time I hear it coming, it's too late-I can't move quickly enough!
Does anyone have any advice? Do I need to upgrade my suit so that I can move faster? I really wanted to work on shields, first.. |

The incoming LAV's do have sound AND lights. Even when you are playing with low volume, you can still see the light from incoming LAV. Just got to get used to looking out for them.
I get run over too every now and then, and i got 6mill SP.
- Don't run in straight line. - Look left and right always (not only when crossing). This is a general FPS advice, not even specific to being run over by LAVs. - When you do see one coming, don't spend your stamina jumping around/running before he is close. Once he is close, make just a single dash/jump away from his path. |

It's all about the timing, leave the jump too late and the LAV will clip you and kill you, go too early and the driver has enough time to correct. AV grenades are a good investment too, packed AV nades will two shot a militia LAV, and a credible enough threat to a standard LAV to make them back off. |

Sage advice.
Being aware of your surroundings and seeing things before they see you is FPS 101.
But something people often overlook when focusing on an objective, or another player they want to shoot etc.
These go into the same category as - don't shoot at things you can't hit. It just makes it more likely someone who didn't see you - WILL see you.

Skilling into explosives gives you access to demolitions and grenadier skills. Demolitions gets you both remote explosives and proximity mines. Grenadier will get you AV grenades in addition to flux (specifically for knocking out shields) and advanced locus grenades. Its worth it if for no other reason than to get better grenades. I recommend the "packed" variety. :) |
