In real life, the Helicopter pilot doesn't have to grind a few more battles on the ground to get another helicopter, because he's probably dead. |

Figured that. Seems like you would need an extremely lucky shot with a missile or railgun to kill anything on the ground, or tons of time to take out another dropship. |

Accelerated missiles will OHK anything but heavies or proto suits, blasters need some work due to their crappy reticule but are pretty good for killing infantry, and small railguns are still the most useless thing in new Eden.
As for fights between dropships they can take awhile if both pilots have good fits and can fly well. |
