Anyways the passive bonuses are what made DUST seem not totally gear based. |

CCP terminated it, because CCP doesn't want vets speaking ill of their game.

Having passive bonuses is what made Chromosome so unbalanced. Now that bonuses are geared more to passive bonuses when equipping the related module, you can't just throw points into a ton of passive as an "I win button." SP still matters, but fitting matters just as much now. |

Didn't they shift the passives over to modules and suits? Chromosome was pretty meh, if I remember and while the TacAR is a pain in the ass right now, imagine it with all those passives!
Would be nice to see SOME skills looked into though, right now, there is no reason to take basic suits up to 5 for example. |

DUST is more unbalanced now than chromosome or any other build before it ever could have hoped to be. |

That's because everything got nerfed to the ground except for the AR and the TAR is an "I wind button." Has nothing to do with whether or not your passive are connected to your character or fitting when a douche with a modded controller can cut you down in half a second. Actually, if passive a were connected to characters instead of fittings, the TAR would be gunning you down in 1/16th of a second. |

Please explain to me how TAC's would still be dominating if people had stamina and armor regeneration connected to their character versus being associated exclusively with a module. Explain to me how people wouldn't be able to dodge LAV's if they still had the passive stamina bonuses? |

Explain to me how people wouldn't be able to dodge LAV's if they still had the passive stamina bonuses? The idea is to try and make the game more based on player skill than SP, something a lot of people have been campaigning for since the beginning. In this case, that player kill is being expanded to how well the player fits their suit, which again removes the prior imbalance of more time in the game making you better at everything even without spending a single ISK on better gear.
You could go into Ambush with all Militia gear and still be absolutely better than everyone else simply because of your passive bonuses. As you and your buddies are so fond of reminding us over and over, this isn't EVE. |

What i do not understand is why did ccp remove the hand held weapon passive damage bonus, then add 10% damage to every chromosome weapon. |

Yeah, there being so many skills that simply unlock stuff while providing no passive bonuses sucks. For instance, make all the equipment related skills reduce fitting requirements, even if it's only 2 or 3 percent per level. Or make the Repair Tool skill increase their output. Something. Anything. |

So wait, if I spec'd into armor repair modules that last week gave me a % bonus to armor repair, that bonus was removed during downtime this morning?
I haven't played since Satuday night and everything was working the way it was described in the discription, as far as I could tell. |

In EVE, there are no skills that don't provide some sort of passive bonus. I think DUST should be the same way, even if the bonus is small and only useful when fitting certain things. |

To lessen the gap between veteran players and rookie players. Its a bit unfair how I out damaged and out tanked protosuit wearers in militia gear in earlier builds. |
