Make it accessible from more angles, and simply by pressing forward.

If CCP wants to make it more of a AAA ladder climbing sim, they can add an animation when jumping into a ladder or falling down onto a ladder where you grip with one hand and grip slip your other hand dangling on the ladder, look down to see how far you couldve fallen, then proceed to grab the ladder with your other hand. yes to those
